Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

you can't find oxygen cylinder in my area due to lack of facilities. it takes a long time to reach after placing the order. We have to use this type of capsule.
I know. What I mean is you should at least tie it to a heavier object (bed for instance). If it falls on the regulator side there’s a risk of fire.

Everything opens up in the UK on Monday, good ol' Boris, man of the people, doesn't think we even need to wear masks on public transport anymore. Only 40k new cases a day.

Looking forward to the next lockdown already.
It looks that we will live in a pattern from now on. Lockdown and fear from September/October till May and then gung ho/do whatever you want from June till September.

It would've happened either way.

I just find it hilarious how people are surprised. It's going to be funny hearing excuses when it comes to vaccines since majority took it and nope, nothing.

We learned last night that our vacation to Spain will be canceled due to the Delta virus. Everything will be orange from tomorrow, exactly the day when school vacation starts. So many families screwed over, many of them have taken the vaccine especially to go on vacation without any problems. It’s so frustrating, ffs. Really a bummer.

Strategy of the Dutch government has been a absolute disaster. They reopened bars/clubs etc a few weeks ago, only to close it again after infections start to rise. Because of that the whole county is going to be red, with approximately ~1 death per day.

Personally I’m reaching the point that I don’t have faith in any decision they take whatsoever. Their opinion changes every month, government isn’t formally in control anymore- and after re-elections they’re already months in negotiations to form a new government, without any succes of course.

The vaccines have helped of course but there are still too many 30s and under who aren't vaccinated, and they are you ones mingling the most in large groups.

After all that has gone on essentially Boris has employed plan #7 which is survival of the fittest, hoping enough time has passed and vaccinations done to keep deaths down.

They said situation would be fine when majority takes vaccines. Majority did take vaccines and now it's just new excuses. It's just gonna repeat itself once August finishes.

I don’t get the point of vaccinating a whole population. If you’re in a age group that the virus is pretty harmless for you (there are exceptions of course) than I personally get problems with the idea of vaccinating everyone.

I mean here they went from ‘we reopen of the older and sick people are vaccinated’ to ‘the under 30s are causing problems’ and eventually to ‘from the age of 12 you can make a appointment without permission from your parents’, basically the only thing a child is able to do without permission of their parents.

Not sure what you mean by "fine". The virus wasn't going to disappear and it was never sold as that, it just meant less serious effects for people.

The argument from the government about "if not opening everything up now then when?" is fine, but I don't see any reason to remove the mask mandate on things like public transport or crowds for events. This is little more than a test event for them.

Because there is reduced risk of transmission with vaccination as the viral load is reduced if you have fewer or no symptoms. You need a certain level of vaccination to provide herd immunity. If you ignore 30% (in the UK 40% of people are under 40) of the population who do a large amount of group socialising then it's still spreading well. It's already been shown in the UK that the groups spreading the virus are the younger people, especially aged 16-24.

Why do fully vaccinated people have to keep wearing a mask though? And we have a incidence of roughly 4 or so. It's ludicrous.

Bring on the survival of the fittest method at this point. Those who wanted the vaccine, have it by now. That's roughly 60%. We throwing vaccines in the bin like crazy already and it's gonna get slower and slower at this point.

Robert Koch institute should be in for a surprise with their targeted quote

"We must aim to get 90 percent of people over 60 and 85 percent of 12 to 59 year olds to get vaccinated."

Good luck with that.

I suppose it's hard to enforce if you allow some but not others. People aren't going to carry around their proof of vaccinations, others are going to lie about having them, too much time and hassle to enforce. So it has to be one or the other.

My thinking is that people are fed up now with how things currently are but it can easily go back to being worse again. I'm vaccinated and will still wear one for some time going shopping or if I have to take the train. I've got one extremely vulnerable person in my circle who has never had the virus. People like that the government aren't bothered about, and neither are most people, but that's what happens with personal choice.
