Do you guys think that Biden actually has dementia or something similar impairing his function or is he just that bad of a public speaker?
Biden has been known to fumble his speeches since forever, from even before he paired up with Obongo to bring destruction upon America.

is there a politician that you do like?
Well Trump is my favorite. Such an honest and genuine person, gives his heart and soul for this nation and its people.

Seriously, though, of the Dem candidates, my favorites were Bernie and Yang.
My absolute favorite is the current Cali governor, Gavin Newsome. Too bad he didn't run for President.

Only Republican politician I would bother to piss on if I saw him on fire is Romney. I may not agree with him on a number of things but he at least has some common decency and was pretty good as governor of Massachusetts when I was living there.

Newsom would have been too soon. But who knows if the convention gets brokered. But if Trump wins re-election. Newsom is a lock for 2024, probably against Nikki Haley.

If slurring is Biden's problem, he has good company in Trump. Have you heard Trump try to stumble his way through reading off a teleprompter? Here are some highlights:

And then there is this.

Maybe. In politics it is often beneficial to run for elections early in one's career as there is less compromising material on tape to be used against you.
I don't disagree that Newsom's profile probably wasn't elevated enough going into the debates and primaries. This being said, he has not just smarts but also poise and charisma. He is so much more presentable and presidential than virtually all the other Dem candidates, I think he'd have had a very good chance of separating himself from the rest as the process went on.
As for 2024, I am not convinced the country would still be there, if Trump were to win again.

Well, I doubt I know him well enough to write his autobiography but I can give you just my general impressions of him. To me Newsom epitomizes what the modern social democrat should be, while at the same time he also knows how to be fiscally conservative when needed. He strikes me as being very sharp and intelligent, trusts science, not religious callings and one-on-ones with Jesus. My general impression of him is that he is very decisive and knows how to be a politician in bringing two opposing sides together, when the situation calls for it.
His quick and decisive handling of the coronavirus situation is probably the one and only reason why Cali, especially LA and San Fran areas, aren't falling apart right now.
Newsom also strikes me as a straight-up, no-bullshit guy, who just gives you the lay of the land as it is, not much of the sugar-coating of reality that is so typical for politicians.
The fact that he didn't throw his hat in the ring this presidential election cycle, tells me he is not obsessed with gluttony for power, possibly even shows patience and a knack for strategy. Me thinking he should have run now is heavily influenced by the lack of a proven candidate among the other Dems.
You are never gonna find a perfect politician, the game more or less dictates that, but for as much as I could say I like a politician, Gavin Newsom is that guy.
