Rumor: Someone I know who works for FEMA is claiming there will be a national lockdown sometime over the weekend. They are stockpiling food today. No idea if true or not, but I know they work for FEMA. Could change, may not happen, may happen, I don't know.
what would a national lockdown entail? That would stop stores from staying open?

huh?

The person works at Mount Weather. Not trying to fear monger, no idea how that’s even feasible, and worrying for a whole slew of reasons.
I have a friend that knows a chief of police down in a Georgia city, he heard the same thing (lol I love these "I know a guy that knows a guy" things but there has to be some truth to it)

Im sure its on the table for possibilities though

Makes sense for them to announce it over the weekend, perhaps on Sunday. However, don't see how a national lockdown would be feasible, other than declaring martial law. Even then, there aren't enough resources to make it work. I also think that would cause a market crash Monday, which obviously they don't want, but it may crash anyway. So I think the timing makes sense, but I don't know about the rest.
