I guess Inter play in January (due to the CWC) while Juve-Catania and Roma-Lazio are played on Dec 9 because Juve-Lazio is scheduled for Dec 12 and it will be too soon those two to play a Coppa match on Dec 14.

Thanks for your input, I'll just assume you don't know what you're talking about.

If I'm a local Juve fan, I could maybe deal with the date of a game being decided no more than a few days before. That is, if I can take care of my own (work) schedule or have a lenient boss.
If I need to travel a few hours though, I would need to make the arrangements in due time.
If I'm an away fan (of Catania no less, look it up on the map) I would need to make even more arrangements. Get more time off from work etc.
