Who cares, we won the league :D Or in the words of Del Neri, Its not like we win the Coppa every year.
Like we forgot about it. Really sad...this Scudetto was what we never imagined at the start of the season, when we won the most important trophy we were fighting for, we went "Conte's choices topic". Why doubt someone who knows what's best for the team? If it wasn't him...i don't wanna think about it...scarry...

Well, Storari and Del Piero both featured for the Coppa squad. But with regular season over, it was sentimentality that largely gave them the start. Like it or not, we would not have seen either start if this were a competitive game for Serie A with the scudetto on the line.
Absolutely.

But I'm not sure if we can call it sentimentality. Conte was simply protecting his own skin :D Just imagine what was gonna happen if he didn't start Del Piero. Even more, if he didn't start DP and we lost.
I won't blame Conte for that. I was gonna do the very same thing he did.

The issue tonight really wasn't the lineup, it was the performance. Ok boriello shouldn't have started and neither storari (i don't care about a coppa goalie, he started our last serie a game as a make up.) But the main issue was how we played. We created nothing and looked overconfident against a very dangerous napoli team. Success breeds success and we had an amazing opportunity to win the double and finish an entire season without defeat. This is once in a lifetime and will never happen again.

On conte I think its stupid to have a 'coppa team' despite loyalty. When u r in a final you play to win, and tonight he didn't. Another coach that does that is arsene wenger, he's won nothing in years. The honour of our club is all that matters and tonight is a massive disappointment.

I care.

I thought Esti was OK on the night. Worse at the start with terrible possession skills, but salvaged a cross here and there where there wasn't one to make and did well in tracking back on defense. But the guy doesn't know how to dribble.
I like to give him a break because he is settling in a new country and league. Was fine against Roma a couple of times, the Napoli game in the San Paolo was pretty good, fine again tonight. I think he's useful.

Looked to me like Bonucci backed off too late and forced the late surge out by Storari.

Either way, we looked like we were on holiday already.

I don't care about Coppa, I am just sad about Del Piero.

Vidal was shiit. I have never seen him play so badly. He should have been subbed out at HT.

I'm not going to turn my nose up to trophies, it has been a rough 6 years and winning competitive trophies is what football is all about.
+rep, success breeds success. A scudetto can be a 1 off. We had a chance tonight to throw down a marker and we failed spectacularly. The players acted as if their goal had already been achieved and with so much on the line it would b wrong to be anything but annoyed and frustrated

A victory for football? Why didn't Mark Doyle admit that he's a Juve hater? Or per Goal.com policy, he's gotta be indifferent and neutral? What a douchebag! It just a Coppa Italia and he crawled out of his mom's skirt and screamed to the world.

all of you talking about the silver star before the game and now after the game you claim you dont care about the coppa. Truth is every single person on this forum wanted the coppa so stop pretending like it isn't a big deal

:agree: but I have to admit that I wanted the Coppa badly but deep inside I knew that we will not win it. So fuck off.
