People somehow trying to blame Del Piero's presence for this loss...well, he won't be a "burden" or a "problem" for you next year. The height of ingratitude...

Borriello is the only one who clearly shouldn't have started.

Nullified out midfield, especially Pirlo. Gotta give credit for that. But they had the refs on their side. So fuck em anyway!
was the first thing I said after the game, our MF got outfought.

but for all their dirty tactics, we had more clear shots on target, Storari had nothing to do apart from the first couple of minutes.

Scudetto and Cup final in Conte's frist season WOW!!! I say we stay on the ground for a second. As much as i love Juve and support this club since i know myself(family passion) i think we must consider what we have done. It's only normal that success raises expectations, but this team didn't win shit for 6 years, so now that we won Scudetto i feel like we are CL champions and i can tell most of my friends, who are MU fans they can go rewatch the Everton game and tell me what they've won this season. Priceless. Anyway i'm proud of this team, i'm proud to be Juventino.

Is it actually so obvious? Is it all about the 3 stars , the 30 scudetti , the silver star etc etc?
We went to hell with serie B and we are back. We are struggling to make all the others respect ( well the teams that matter haven't lost any respect for us but you know what i'm saying ) and FEAR us again. We've taken a big step this year with the scudetto. It's all about NEW JUVE it's not about a lost final or stars. We should really look for our future , and make you even bigger than it was in the past.

Not sure about the clear shots thing, but the whole scene changed when the penalty was not given and Aronica not sent off. It was gonna be a tough night, and winning in such circumstances would've been very difficult, especially considering Conte started out with a handicap.

But look on the bright side, people. We won't have to see Hamsik's terrible haircut anymore! :weee:

I think it wasnt the fact that the starting 11 was like it was, it was because the players didnt look like they wanted to win,no hunger.
Yeah.
Hamsik chased Pirlo wherever he went and that was a big problem for our play, but even without that aspect, we just didn't have it tonight and Napoli were obviously hungrier for the win. I hold this against our players and even Conte. The hunger to prove ourselves was our driving force this season. We lack in quality but we had so much motivation and hunger. Without that we're an average team. We can't allow to lose our main forte and we should have really showed more desire tonight.

I doubt any juve player would envy del piero got the wild card on the final as his last ever match with juve PERIOD. the whole if DP had to start then other 2nd string players must started to is bullshit.

Who is blaming Del Piero's presence for this loss?

im sorry but estigarribia and borriello need to go. I know some of you like esti for his heart and determination, but he just simply does not have what it takes to play in the serie a and obviously the champions league. I know most of you will disagree with me and say he is a great "squad player" but to tell you the truth, other than his goal against napoli and assist against roma, i have not been impressed all season by him

Nobody cares what Storari wants. It was about Conte and the way he handled Del Piero. In order to calm the Juve fans to some degree, he gave the word that some players will at least get to play the Coppa. Here he meant Del Piero, but couldn't just say "Hey Ale, I will give you petty minutes in the Coppa". He had to make it about more than 1 player.
So he put Storari in the mixture. But if he didn't play Storari tonight he was gonna break his promise, look like a liar and even lose some authority. Again, Storari played only because of the way Conte decided to handle the DP situation.

I will now go to sleep, end the season with a nice FINO ALLA FINA FORZA JUVENTUS

I have one last wish and that is to be able to meet Del Piero and thank him for everything he has done for the club.

I don't need to explain anything to a person who thinks that he can pick the team from his armchair, without seeing what's going on at Vinovo on our training ground every day. Conte has faith in Borriello. A lot of people don't like that, which is understandable, but in that case, take your frustration out on Conte. I don't see why you have to take it out on me.
I don't have anything against you, only your posts/reasoning, no offense

you said that you are absolutely sure conte won't field players on such important competition as CL based on sentimentality but then I find there's some flaws on your argument, the clearest being borriello, the fact that he played him, hugged him with enthusiasm, etc isn't that what sentimentality is?

borriello more often (which is an understatement) sucked on official, important matches than he was ever any good, how do you able to believe that he was so much better in training? where is the logic on that? even if borriello did like ronaldo on training, THE HARD TRUTH AND FACT IS he was awful on official matches, in other words, he choked when it mattered most.

so what then, if not sentimentality, that borriello got the starter status? evermore over the likes of matri and quaq who already scored so many more goals than him?

about the armchair thing, do you realize that there are some aspect in football that can be seen more clearly from TV than from the edge of the field? there are reasons why football players today usually have to watch recorded games as one of their training menu.

I thought Esti was OK on the night. Worse at the start with terrible possession skills, but salvaged a cross here and there where there wasn't one to make and did well in tracking back on defense. But the guy doesn't know how to dribble.

Well, Storari and Del Piero both featured for the Coppa squad. But with regular season over, it was sentimentality that largely gave them the start. Like it or not, we would not have seen either start if this were a competitive game for Serie A with the scudetto on the line.

When we bought him I thought that the dribbling is Esti's best quality. I saw him dribbling the shit out of Maicon in Coppa America, but he fooled me. The mofo really can't dribble :D
