This.

And a part of me is really happy that Conte is a man of his word, a man of honor, when it comes to his group of players. He said at the beginning of the season that, in Coppa Italia, some second string players will play more. Storari in goal etc. He stuck to that, even though a "trophy" was on the line.

I know some may have a problem with that, but I for one, simply love it. This is the way to create a united group. This is the way to create a winning family (which sounds weird considering we lost on the night, but think about it in a broader perspective).

This was just the coppa italia. We're now off to bigger and better things! Let's focus on how to defend our scudetto and getting far in the Champions League (preferably the final).
Yes, it was just the Coppa Italia. But what bugs me is that it was a match laden with sentimentality and entitlements over the typical Juve drive to win at all costs.

The reason you play a "Coppa" squad is because you want to offer a little rest to your regular season players. With the Scudetto won, that should have been null and void. You didn't see Napoli fielding second team players, did you?

I love Conte and this team, and it's done amazing things. It is just the Coppa. But we really could have won this cup and chose not to.

It's not that this was the Coppa final. It was a competitive match and we disrespected that. I don't have a problem that we didn't field our best team, but even those so called fringe players who were given the job, didn't seem to care at all and that's really sad. You can't come all the way to the final and then play like you don't care. Btw, Quag with the play of the day. Aronica is probably the biggest cunt in Italy.

I want to thank conte for everything he has done this season. A truely fantastic coach, but when you're in the coppa final, you play you're best team. Not the team you promised to play. Like boniperti said, winning is the only thing that matters, not silly arrangements to only play certain players in the coppa. Buffon should have started, borriello...no comment. And esti should not have been there as well. Thank you for the scudetto conte, but you really fucked this one up.

I had a feeling we would lose this game. Napoli players were saying a month ago how their league campaign was being distracted about the prospect of the coppa italia final. They were 100% motivated for this match. Juve were still partying in preparation for this and it showed once the game started.

I am not sure its as much to do with the lack of intensity shown than the actual team selection. Juve has been dominating midfield all through the campaign and Napoli usually have low possession against the big teams.....but today they had slightly more possession than we did until the opening goal.

Storari's mistake was horrendous though and it changed the match.....Napoli never looked dangerous until then.....Lavezzi was going no-where and there was no need to go for that ball and risk giving away a penalty. I think Buffon alone would have made a huge difference tonight.

Disappointing way to end the season. But still a great season nonetheless. Perhaps at least the fact that we lost this game sort of highlights something important - this Juve team needs to play at full tempo to do as well as they did.......Juve still don't have those 1 or 2 truly world class players up front that can make a difference when the whole team is playing below par. Important to reflect on when thinking about the summer transfer season.

We lacked the hunger and the passion , we weren't really prepared for such a match but to be honest that's not the end of the world. We ll learn from our mistakes and learn to handle our enthousiasm. It was an intense , weird season , and we got our undefeated scudetto. It hurts to loose a final , but i cant blame anyone in the team. To be honest , it's a bad moment mostly as it was Alex's final game and the FUCKING ref couldnt see Marchisio's penalty. Otherwise, we should leave this behind. BUT. Next season is a different one. We are Champions now , we should act like Champions every game , every minute , in every competition we participate. And we need some QUALITY reinforcement for this. Spent wisely and big, to wrap the future for us.

I enjoyed watching Delneri Juve tonight.

Nice to see our team still can't win Cups.
That's the worrying thing. No matter what era, we still seem to choke badly in finals. Something wrong mentally.

Anyway shitty, disinterested performance, clearly the worst of the season. Hurts to lose to these cunts, it really does.

Ah well. We won the main one, that's all that matters really.

I cannot believe some of the comments here. One bad game, "it's on Conte" "can't believe how we played". Conte has had an unbelievable season, so has Juventus. All 40+ games undefeated, those were all "on Conte" as well, Juve have overachieved and just because of one bad game, in an entire year many are complaining. Conte played the players whom he promised would play the Coppa Italia, there is trust in the group and their is faith in each other, if Conte picked this group then he had a reason. If Conte but fucking Boriello up there, he had a reason. So quit bitching and just enjoy the fantastic season we have just had the pleasure of experiencing.

Those of you who complain about not playing our best team....are you aware that if Conte was choosing the best available, he was gonna play these same guys, minus Del Piero and Storari?
Buffon and Vucinic would have played instead of those two and the rest were gonna be the same.

We have paid a heavy price for this & hopefully Conte will never repeat this again. On the positive this will hopefully make the management think more clearly about the depth we have. We need some more quality.

Pirlo seems to be the only one interested and have the hunger for this game, an ugly end to a great season but.. still ForzaJuve!!

Storari is not Buffon, but didnt we know that before the final?
Bonucci always does such mistakes, didnt we know that before the final?
They were given a penalty and us not, twice, we were given a red card and them none, is this smth new?
EstiG tries hard, but he is not quite the Vucinic or Quaq we need to posse a threat in a such a game.
Borriello is completely useless and his only use to make sure that the tempo will be slow and we wont score, is this what you want in a final?
Didnt we know that this was DP's last game, ever with us?
Didnt we know that from next year we wont afford to play our starters in the cup?
Didnt we know, that to make an undefeated season, its better not to participate in Europe and its gonna be a long time till we ever get that chance again?

And yet, we gifted them this cup... it was our choice, despite of what it was our stake...
Why? I m sure there is one man that can answer to this, and thats Conte!
