See I normally would agree with you but I really don’t think this is a bad generation at all. They just suck together as a unit.
It's a young group sure, but compared to older generations they are just not that good imo. Vini is your best player, how does he stack up against the likes of neymar, Ronaldinho, or Rivaldo? Brazil might be better tactically/defensively, but when did you ever imagine someone like paqueta playing the number 10 slot for la selecao?

Lots of countries don’t have one world class player.

I would argue Netherlands doesn’t have a single world class player.

True.

But the Netherlands do have a lot of players who play for big clubs. Maybe they're not world class, but they're definitely good and experienced.

Not a single American would get in that team.

Can’t disagree. But I guess I’m starting to accept the fact Brazil will never be the same, whatever style they had got lost in this new press press press run run run football.

This is beyond just Brazil though. Watch that Bielsa video, now that’s a guy who truly understands the sport and he’s absolutely right. We’ll be seeing less and less individually skilled players and more of this boring tactical shit we’ve been watching in both tournaments.

It’s like the sport has been allegrified. sad times.

Or maybe it’s the case that Allegri was ahead of his time and everyone is catching up to him.

If you have a team with players that are in shape, are strong and fast and not afraid to get physical, you can make things tough for any opponent.
