Last 5 World Cups:
Winners: Europe 4 - Rest of the World 1
Finalists: Europe 8 - Rest of the World 2
Semifinalists: Europe 15 - Rest of the World 5

Let's finish the discussion with this, gringo.
Regardless 2019-Present Argentina is currently the best international side of all time.

Yup. You must be born in 2000 or something. No point continuing this nonsense.
Oooh I know that one touched your soul haha

Didn't Mexico make the final in 1993?
I stand corrected - you're absolutely right. Mejico finished runners up twice, and Honduras even managed 3rd that one time.

But, the Euros have also had their fair share of surprises: Denmark winning it in 92 and Greece in 2004 the obvious ones.

Nope. I don't care, but this is asinine and revisionist BS. Also, recency bias springs to mind. If you want to believe that shit, it's your prerogative. I don't care enough to change your mind, but I will point out the stupidiy of adhering to such a belief.

Well when these claims are backed up by facts, football experts + analyzers who studied the game for 45+ years and the fact that this team was blessed by the god of football itself. You tend to get quite comfortable if not cocky

And that my boy is how I feel

Stats. Yes. Because stats of course always tell the whole story.

Messi is a great player, and he's possibly the best of all time for many (just not for me).

I don't think this Argentina team has the flair, guile, or defensive solidity that some of the teams of the late 70s and 80s possessed.

Also, winning the Copa now is probably easier than winning the Asian Cup, seeing as the quality of opposition is absolutely dire. Where is the Chile team of old? Brazil are a shadow of their former selves, and teams like Paraguay and Peru have faded into obscurity in recent times. The only decent teams in South America, Argentina aside of course, are Colombia and Uruguay.

If I am being honest, I don't think this Argentina team beats Spain from 2008 to 2012, France 98 to 2002 (Thuram, Zidane, Vieira, Henry, Trezeguet), or the Italy team with Buffon, Nesta, Cannavaro, Pirlo, De Rossi, Del Piero, Totti, and Vieri.

I think 2010 Spain is the best of all time. They controlled games and had a group of some of the most talented players who also bought into a system. Can’t think of anyone being able to overtake that.

Brazil 1970. Brazil won 3 out of 4 World Cups from 58 to 70 - that's insane. The only reason they probably didn't win in 66 is because Pele was injured early, and that clearly dented their confidence.

I also love the Dutch team of 88 and France's Platini.

Of all the NTs that I watched, the most dominant one was Brazil in 2002. They won the WC with a 7-0-0 record and had some amazing players (Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Cafu, Roberto Carlos).

My agenda only includes trophies since that's what the spaniards I deal with on social media bring up.

But let's get real for a sec.. hombre a hombre

Brazil of the 70s and 82 blow this team out of the water with their playing style.
France's golden generation played quite attractive as well.

Italy flopped, sorry but 2006 was the bare minimum.

Spain 2008-2012 is the big red flag for me, I can go hours and hours about how overrated they are. What did they do that was so special outside of 2008? In 2010 they scraped by and in 2012 they were criticized until they played a mediocre italian team in the final..

This argentina team is not the flashiest, but we are deadly on the counter, have a very very tough defense, and have two geniuses in messi and di maria up front. This era is coming to a close though.

I hope you're able to tell when I'm trolling about the martinez remarks lol

I was doing a research for an article recently. You have no idea how many (mostly Jewish) prostitutes from the eastern parts of Austria-Hungary or the westernmost parts of Russia went to Argentina via Constantinople in the first decade of the 20th century. I'm being serious :D

Not that this info is relevant to the discussion, but if Kevster is a descendant of one of these women, he might be a true Argie indeed.
Have you found anything related to Wanda and Icardi? Let me know if you find something useful.
