came here to say that Alves is still a fucking beast.
But at the same time, he can also go fuck himself.

I was watching a La Liga replay (in English of course) yesterday where he scored under the wall on a FK and I swear that announcer must've had Leo's balls in his mouth the way that he kept heaping praise and talked about him like a God.
Ray Hudson? He's delightful.

I wonder if Messi will be able to sustain the pressure of possibly his last big tournament, in his own country, which will be a must win for sure. His south american peers all carried the nation to some trophy, except for him and James - Suarez&Cavani, Sanchez, Neymar. His rival won 2 trophies, his barcelona Spanish teammates won the WC and Euro without him. Ronaldinho, Marquez, Etoo, Henry, Yaya Toure.... most of the significant teammates he had won something internationally, if he ends his career empty handed, thats an epic failure

man, alves was brilliant today even i can't stand for the guy, just gonna give the credit where it's due. he was still running like a beast on the 90th min, even after constatly going back n forth past hour n half.

36yr years young, gotta respect that.
he is good for sure.

Honestly though, how hard can it really be to find a decent coach for this nation?
it's not about the coach when the coach himself wanted icardi on that team, but messi preferred aguero for example. on those world cup qualifiers there was a guy from boca juniors(benedetto or something) starting agead of all the striker talent argentina has, just because that one guy preferred him over all the others. the reason for that was just simply because that benedetto or whatever his name is, has a playing style more suitable for what messi prefers.

meh until you consider international football is a joke that is held onto due to nostalgia and it still being very profitable.

I enjoy it but as far as a serious competition, competition that you can make claims about who is the best though? It is completely irrelevant.

tbh, messi will be remembered for his game play style. not for his efficiency ! so his fans will not care anyway. and others they hate him! if he wins or no :)

When most of the stars from your era achieve something and you cant, despite being better and having a better team, then you failed hard. No 2 ways about it

This Argentina feels quite short but those they had before were some of the best teams in the world... and he still miss it... better retire again asap :lol2:

The fanboyism of individual players is what I hate the most about modern football.
man he wouldn't make the sub. actually it is like these forced subs to prove you have overrated player like dybala.
absolutely disgusting !
