I liked the fact he finally figured out Messi by allowing him to roam freely high up the field behind the strikers, and didn't have to drop deep which allowed Messi to play his game and be effective. His tactics were messed up though in some areas, specially after Mascherano got sent off. So you lose a destroyer out there that is capable of keeping things in check (although Uraguay still controlled the MF for long periods before he got sent off), then you bring Tevez in to play behind the strikers, away from the box where he is more effective, put him next to Pastore that doesn't track back, you end having a big hole between your only holding MF on the pitch, and Pastore Tevez and Messi. Argentina lost most battles in the MF after that, moving the ball up or intercepting it was just too much of task for Biglia to do on his own, and Tevez isn't your typical player that is used to drop down to get the ball, neither is Messi or Pastore. He could have brought Banega for Aguero, and then Tevez for Higuain.
