im happy with kovac....we are gonna lose luliano leggo and monty, with ferrara retired and tudor uncertain, i believe a talented defender like kovac has a place on our bench.:D
right on, and if we could possible get another CD that would give us extra depth.

Why the hell didnt we signed Kuffour?

We could give Nonda+Kovac+15mil+Mutu+half of the young Masiello on the Cassano deal

there is no dif than Nonda+Kuffour+15mil+half Masiello

IMO Kuffour is much better than Kovac,
Roma owned us once more in this deal

Roma rarely own us...they often do good work on the transfer market but it rarely works out in the long term, in comparison to moggi's work.

And i would prefer not to lose half of maissello instead put him into the first team next year.

It doesnt work only because they are a crappy team,
but the transfers they make, are good with great potential,
since they are our targets too,
the same players would probably work fine in our team,
we are much more organised than Roma,
but they invest more than us,
they want to become a better team,we wont to retain our current power,
Kuffour makes them better as a team,
Kovac is just a sub, to add depth in our team

let them keep investing in players who fail to pay off, i think the inter chairmen now understands that thowing money at the problem doesnt solve it.
Roma can keep signing all the players they want, but until theu sort out their indiscipline they will fail.

In all honesty they should start fromt he top....sell totti, loose his arrogance and ego and build a team with the money they obtain....then i would be worried.

I think Kovac was more important to Bayern. Besides that Kuffour could have demanded playing time, which he wouldn't get with Thuram and Cannavaro here, or he may have asked very high wages. You don't know the exact details of the transfer. Besides that it wasn't exactly the most important transfer of the year.

And IMO we owned Roma last year with the Capello and Emerson transfers...

I agree, i m happy with the situation there,
but i am angry because they ruin our transfer targets,
they are a very competitive opponent,
they just do some damage to us indirectly,
(pick up our targets and raice the others price)

i am even angrier because this kind of tactics would eventualy econ destroy their club and we would get rid of them for good,

just like we did with Lazio,
(they souldnt sign those Mendieta-Lopez etc etc)

we started to make them pay their arrogance(Zebina,Capello,Emerson),
(FIFA punished them too on Mexes)

but Berlusconi interfeared and save them
and now we will haveto pay them 30mil for Cassano
and face them once again in the transfer market,

they sould recon their place,
they souldnt fight with a giant like Juve yet,
they werent ready yet,
they sould pay

he is good, trust me from a regular bundesliga watcher.

all true an relevant...i agree, but roma paid 18million pounds for him...and his stock has hiked up in value since...so they are likely to push up the price.

Thats why id prefer to sign someone else, possibly both mancini and Chivu....that would be a stupidly good move by moggi.

A very good point there!
I believe too, it was because of playing time,
he will probably be a starter in Roma,
but we could appeal him more with the hopes for titles,
i believe it will be a stupid moove, now to buy a star like Chivu or another CB on his class and pay 15-25mil, when we could get Kuffour for free

and we would be very stupid to play a 3man attack with Kovac as a starter when we could have the much more solid Kuffour.

and i dont think Kuffour's wages are much higher than Gianningeta's

I dont, i havent get the chance to see Kovac many time this year,
i would never judge one player than just one game
(like others do with Appiah etc etc)
but tell me is he better than Kuffour?

from what i ve seen most of the times, if a mistake is ever made its not by Kuffour,
Kovac used to be a v.good defender too,
but i always rated Kuffour higher

So far this season Magath has played Kovac alot more- can you complain with a defender who has been played consistently and won the double?

isnt Kuffour a better solution?

Personally, I dont think so. He can also form a good coppa partnership with Todur.. croation NT defence.. so I think its fine.
