Tbh, I never noticed any of those decisions that went our way before. The only thing I noticed about the refereeing in the semi was the disgraceful red card that was given to Motta, that's why I said the refs were against Inter. On balance the decisions evened out for both sides in that semi really. I agree we never would've won the CL without calciopoli but it was not the main reason we won it. We still had to win all the trophies we did, we could've easily failed and not won anything. How many times have teams not won against 10 men, yet when they win against 10 it was because of the red card. You still have to perform and get the results when you are put in a good position, its not a given. The first 3 scudetti were directly because of calciopoli, the next 2 and the CL were influenced by it but not the main reason.
But this is verging into another discussion. In my eyes you're just nitpicking, playing semantics, talking about calciopoli "influencing" and not "causing". These are things nobody can really gauge with accuracy. The point, however, is that before Calciopoli Inter wouldn't dream of reaching the CL final, let alone winning it. Calciopoli got that ball rolling fast. Where there other factors at play? Sure, who is denying that? But Calciopoli gave Inter a foundation from which it could win the CL. Just because Calciopoli by itself wasn't a guarantee that Inter will win CL, in no way does it mean that Inter could win CL without it. Calciopoli was like a lottery ticket. A ticket doesn't guarantee a lottery win. But one surely cannot win the lottery without it.
