Is it really likely that Ranieri will be given the chop?
I have just read several of the lengthy posts in this thread and I agree wholeheartedly with the quips about Ranieri's lack of tactical nous. If it bothers so many supporters when his substitutions and first team selections prove a major factor in our downfall, how the hell does it make the players feel???
Who wants a coach who praises a draw??? who wants a coach who says we did everything we could and he cant fault the players when we drop points consistently against definitely, lesser teams...???
I cannot recall a time in the 14 years I have supported Juve that our form has been so abysmal. And it is not solely through lack of fine players...at any other top club, these last two months would demand a change of management. Why is this not the case at Juve????
I don't mind whether we get Gasperini or Spalleti, or even Conte...But a change is needed, demanded even...anyone who understands that football is about winning matches, will agree with that.
We are not making ANY progress under ranieri.
The 5 year plan is all well and good, but we have not moved forward this season. we have moved backwards...
I strongly feel that both Inter and Milan have stronger squads than us...but we had done well enough to earn second place two months back...then...we went shit.
To be fair, other than the chelsea game this year, I have not seen us play like a decent team. 2009 has been dark, and we need to seek out the light again...
Please, someone who knows more than me, tell me, encourage me, soothe me...tell me that it is highly likely that Ranieri is OUT.
also...Trezeguet's lack of playing time since his injury is scandalous. I don't care about his problems with Ranieri...the man scores goals. lots and lots and lots of goals...but only if he plays.

If this is indeed true, then good riddance. I will attest and admit that he did have his moments and good games, but overall his contribution was largely more negative than positive. Time to look ahead.
Apparently it's a toss up between Gasperini and Spalletti, with Conte being a rank outsider. I also heard the names of Ferrara, Prandelli, and Vialli being flashed around.

Woohooo! We might actually be making some progress and showing him the door finally!
Ideally Prandelli would be the best choice out of those options but i cant see him turning his back on fiorentina, but Gasperini would be excellent.
We should approach Mourinho as a back up option to see if he fancys a change of scenery

Genoa chief Enrico Preziosi is tired of speculation over the future of Gian Piero Gasperini.
The Grifone tactician is said to be favourite to take over from Claudio Ranieri on the Juventus hot seat.
But his current employer is adamant that he hasn't lost his grip on Gasperini.
“Gasperini will be Genoa's Coach for the next three years,” Preziosi said on Primocanale Sport.
“I don't know in what language I have to speak. I have spoken to the Coach and we have always had an honest relationship.
“Still every day I have to repeat the same thing. I am bored of this so I am not talking to the Press from this point on.”

I think Gian Piero is the man to work with. The thing I question about Spalletti is, even though I've go no problem with his preferred formations, is his ability to deal with champions, and create a well oiled unit. Something Ranieri himself has struggled with. Roma no longer have the prima donnas they were made of under Capello's reign, and had that been the case now, I think Spalletti would've struggled even more than he is at this point. When it comes to us, we need more than a change in formation, we need to get our heads about us and that winning mentality that the squadra has been used to. Under Ranieri, it's just seemed like everything goes, like people here correctly pointed out, a draw being equated with a win, and a loss being an acceptable outcome. This is currently the cancer in the team and it's more than evident given how the likes of Trezegol, Buffon and Camo have been expressing themselves - they've succeeded on varied levels and that is currently the bane of their existence in this set up. We'd probably have the same problem with Luciano as coach, only with a more fluid style of play. The one who seems to make both happen is Gasperini, probably moreso because he can be credited with having represented Juve as player and youth coach over a well substantiated period of time.
