We are coming off the back of extraordinary circumstances.

Once the new coach is appointed, I expect Juve to return to its normal policy of giving coaches time and being reluctant to change coach much.
Let's hope so.

What gives u that opinion that we will be changing coaches more frequently?
Many things actually.

Our defense needs improvements on all fronts, our midfield lacks still cetrain winning elements every big team enjoys. Considering it takes time for a team to rebuild itself, it is very unlikely all our troubles will be fixed in 2 or 3 years. Having said this, I doubt we will win the scudetto or any major trophy next year unless the board can pull of a mercato miracle which I sincerely doubt.

After another fruitless season with whoever at the realm, the fans will grow impatient and the board may have to consider signing a new coach.

Realistically, we won't win anything big soon, unless the fans can digest this and accept it, things will only get worse.

I can understand your reservations. However, Ranieri has taken us as far as he can. Of course there are no guarantees that changing coach will pay dividend, but I am convinced the players are no longer 'with' him and thus a change, much like with Chelsea and Scolari, is a nescessity.
Again, i hope so but the near future looks bleak to me. As for Chelsea, they have a superstar squad, perhaps one of the top 3 teams in Europe, we don't have that quality in our squad thus a different coach is unlikely to give us the effect Hiddink had on Chelsea.

Let's be fair here. Despite Ranieri's nonesensical tactics, his idiotic coaching, and his sheer stupidity, the squad he was coaching does fall below Inter and Milan when it comes to quality.

The Juventus Board of Directors meeting concluded after 10 hours with Claudio Ranieri’s confirmation “until the end of the season, then we’ll see.”
Today’s get-together was to plan the club’s future and many expected the main topic of discussion to be Ranieri’s replacement.

“It was the normal length for these meetings,” said member of the Board Gian Paolo Montali. “There was a great deal to discuss, we are people who work hard and put in the passion.

“Ranieri has our total confidence. At this moment he will remain our Coach until the end of the season, then we’ll see.

“We have to end the campaign by playing the same way we did against Milan.”

It was hardly a glowing show of faith, as Juve are out of the running for all trophies and so it would be a radical move to change management now.

The only risk they run is losing third place to Fiorentina, which would mean entering the Champions League through the preliminary round.

Before the 10-hour meeting a group of fans gathered outside the club headquarters with banners urging the directors to “show us the money.”

It was reportedly set to conclude at 1.30pm UK time, but the directors finally left the building at 19.00.

Another of the issues discussed was the imminent transfer of Werder Bremen striker Diego.

Confusion surrounds the situation now, as Diego’s agent announced a contract “has been signed with Juventus,” whereas German newspaper Bild insists he will join Bayern Munich.

When asked about Diego, Board member Montali would only say “no comment.”

The Board released a statement confirming it had approved the figures for the third quarter of 2008-09, which went from January to March.

“Thanks to an increase in revenues amounting to €62.8 million (in comparison to the €54.4 million of last year), the third quarter closed with an increase of €7.1 million due mainly to the team’s return to playing in the Champions League.

”The cumulative net result as at 31 March 2009 is positive (€21.7 million as opposed to the negative balance of €0.5 million of 12 months ago).

“The fourth quarter of the financial year will be characterised by lower revenues due to a lower number of games to be played and the absence of any extraordinary events, the financial year is expected to close with a break-even result.”

since he is gone anyway, there is no need not to support anyone from your beloved favourite club ...

i say, support your club, because bashing anyone from the club never had helped the club or person to become/perform better

who has gone away?

what if all the support in the world couldn't help that person perform better and those supporting were anxious that the club find a solution that didn't seem to be coming? (hypothetically speaking)

I don't understand the logic of supporting him, unless it is confirmed he is 100% gone come season's end.

If the board have indeed heeded the advice of supporters and critics, and are planning to replace him, then we should support him so as not to risk losing 3rd place. The fans should stop protesting, the board should give him their backing, and the players need to ensure they act in a professional manner to secure 3rd place.

However, during the past couple of months the results have been dismal, and the performances horrendous, hence we must also understand the supporter's frustrations; Thus, there was a need to protest and complain, because it was the right and natural thing to do. Accepting mediocrity and unsatisfactory results is not the Juventus way. Had we, the supporters, not complained and accepted the current situation, it would have been abnormal and unnatural. Being too passive and endorsing mediocrity is not the Juventus way. What made the situation more alarming was that the players started venting their anger and frustration in the manner which they did. When a coach loses the respect, trust and conifdence of his players, he has got to go.

I like to compare this situation to work. Imagine if your performance dips, and you no longer command the respect of your co-workers. The logical thing to do would be to resign, because you are not going to be moving forward anytime soon.

As for now, let's just give the man the support he needs to see out the season; 3 games to secure 3rd spot.

I don't think there is any reason left for Ranieri to be supported come end of season.

I can accept that he did some good with the team he had through injuries. I can accept that he says we are in the building process and thus mustn't hastily attack our team.

But I cannot accept HIS ATTITUDE!

What is worse than our dismal performances is a non winning attitude which has been absolutely highlighted by our recent crisis. How he makes a loss so tolerable.

He decided that a 10 man Milan were much better than an 11 man Juve.

And he made a draw seem like a victory. I absolutely would have put in giovinco when we were a Man up. To push for the win which was very possible.

It's simple....

RANIERI IS A CHEERLEADER NOT A COACH !
