Blanc: Ranieri Will Stay
Juventus director Jean Claude Blanc has insisted that coach Claudio Ranieri will remain at the club for the foreseeable future.
The coach at times has come under heavy criticism recently for Juve’s dip in and out of form. There were rumours in the Italian press that he could be replaced if the Bianconeri failed in their bid for a Champions League place.
However Blanc has given his coach the full backing, insisting that the Tinkerman will stay at the club for at least two years.
“There are absolutely no discussions for Ranieri,” Blanc told Sky Sport Italia.
“I am responsible for having chosen him and I reaffirm that he will stay on Juve’s bench for at least the next two years.
“I know that there are people who are interested in him but he knows he has our complete trust.
“We will continue to work on our long term plans. English clubs for example enjoy success in Europe because they have long term stability and vision when it comes to their coaches.”
Juve are preparing for the game of the season when they clash with league leaders Inter at the San Siro on Saturday night. It’s sure to be a cracker and no doubt Ranieri will be hoping his side can obtain maximum points as they chase the Champions League places.
