the guy hasnt even had a chance to show what he is capable of, wait untill you have something to judge hes a good manager, who the hell else would you have suggested????

I dont want to see Juve fans again as sad as they were after DD departed,
Ranieri's carrier is full of failures on top level competition, he just cant cut it in,
he has nothing more to offer, he is a quick patch up solution to end the current crisis,
this choice will hurt us in the long run in many aspects.
We will not be competitive enough, in the technical field,
as there already are 4-6 better/exp coaches than him in our direct adversaries disposal.
His exp granted by age of choosing players and building a new team proved insufficient in the most tragic and clear way with Chelsea, he will never have such a chance ever in his entire carrier to build a team with virtually unlimited money,
he had the chance and blew it away, he hasnt improved by then helping as a game commentator, he blatanly failed and all the world has seen that,
signing him means we already have given up too!!
we have no vision, he is just a waste of time, he is here to stall time, mark my words and remember them by the end of next season.
It will be a hard and loong season, our eternal enemies will use our champions to beat us and they will beat us hard, the more we will hope the more we will get dissapointed, the managers and coached are already covered their @sses mumbling about the infamous 5 year project, we will suffer defeat after defeat as never before, we will not sign Lampard, Cannavaro, Ribery or any other dream some of our fans have because of this loser coach,
we will not enjoy at least a spark of attacking football under Ranieri's time,
to soften the pain. And in the end, when we will be able to sign a proper coach because of our player's performances despite the coaching errors,
our fans will turn against our noob managers again and consider them traitors to our cause and blame them for everything.
Its a DD situation all over again, i wouldnt like this to happen but...

Claudio Ranieri has spoken for the first time as Juventus boss following his appointment. “You just can’t so no to this club,” he noted.

Ranieri was unveiled to the media this evening, just hours after he signed a three-year contract, and he immediately explained his decision to join the outfit rather than move to Manchester City as was widely expected.

“When Juventus call there is little to think about,” said the man who sensationally kept Parma in the top flight last season.

“There was a project to start from scratch at Manchester City, but they haven’t yet been bought by a new owner and the weeks were passing by…

“The Juve negotiations came about in a surprising manner. It was like a bolt out of the blue as I didn’t expect it.

“I had read my name in the newspapers and I asked myself whether it was true. Then there was the first call and that was pleasing.

“You simply just can’t say no to a club like Juventus. And I didn’t!”

The Old Lady turned to Ranieri following the departure of Didier Deschamps and he’s looking forward to the task following their return to Serie A.

“It’s a great challenge, tough and electrifying,” he added. “We need to work hard and get back to the positions which Juventus deserve to be in.

“I thank Juventus for choosing me and this fills me with pride. There is an ambitious project and I’m certain that we will do well.”

When asked what his side could realistically achieve next term, Ranieri insisted that it will take time to rebuild the club following Calciopoli.

“The club have told me they want to be back to the very highest levels in five years, we’ll look to make that happen sooner,” he added.

“I was shown the possibility of taking Juventus back to the positions where they are used to competing.

“The squad will be a mix of champions and youngsters with great potential. Our transfer targets? We certainly won’t be giving any names to the media.”

The former Chelsea and Valencia man also urged the supporters to demonstrate a certain degree of patience.

“The fans have suffered a lot in Serie B and there will be more tough times ahead,” he continued.

“It’s not important to say that we will win the Scudetto. It is just vital that we become the girlfriend of Italy again – that is more important than a result.

“The fans should stay calm as we will make them proud of what Juventus will do in the future. We will always be compared to the old Juventus, but they don’t exist anymore.

“Nostalgia will always be there, but we are focused on the present and the future.”

The Press conference didn’t go exactly to plan though for Ranieri when he was asked for a comment on next season’s derby clash.

“I welcome back Torino to Serie A,” he said before he realised that it was Juventus who went up and not Toro.

“Well, they should welcome us back then…I hope it will be a derby worthy of this city, nice to watch and stimulating.”

Juventus director general Jean-Claude Blanc insisted the club were delighted with the capture of the 55-year-old.

“To have Claudio here with us falls in with the Juventus style and we want to carry that on in the future,” he noted.

“We have given him a three-year contract because stability is important for our project and we were in agreement on many of our strategic plans.”

that could be the case im not sure, but if that was the case then he should just have said "no i am not returning to management this summer look to other people" rather than i'll manage you only in october which requires a stop-gap coach, just would have been so instable and really bad for the club in the long run, that is my major issue with him, NO question about his greatness however

Nobody wants to see Capello with Juve.
Wenger could of been a possibility but he made that arsenal team and wants to win the EPL.
Mourinho would ask for 5-8m €/year, we refused Vialli because he wanted 2-3m.
Benitez is making CL finals every year.

For me, Ranieri is better than Novellino, Mazzarri, Del Neri, Houllier...


Let's see who we buy this mercato season and give him about 10 games, then we can judge if he's a failure or not.

what on earth are you talking about?? for the first years ranieri was in chelsea he had virtually NO money, the club was in a serious amount of debt and was almost into administration, then when abramovic took them over he was looking at ranieri replacements in september!!! yes ranieri had the chance to create a squad and the chelsea we see today is due to RANIERI! you cant expect 10 players to settle in immediately and bring instant success thats just pure insanity, but he finished 2nd behind an UNSTOPPABLE arsenal team that went 49 league games unbeaten, which money cannot buy! let alone he made it to the semi's of the cl (a fete which mourinho has only matched) and was very unlucky to not make it to the final. his tenure was cut short becuse he did not fit in line with abramovic, ranieri would have won the next year no doubt.

someone who is given a 3 year contract is not here to stall time.

ranieri plays a very attacking and flowing football style, chelsea and valencia under him played some beautiful football and he likes the beautiful style of play, he'll give us a better style than we've had in the last 4 years.

i understand your concerns, i really really do but i think you need to give the guy a chance, sure you can have your doubts, but let him put his stamp on the team and then see how you view it, we aint going to win the title next year but im fully confident he can get us into the CL

Cronios, from your post, I don't even know if you watched Ranieri's Chelsea. He makes his sides play attacking football usually and players know that they will be respected with this manager. Claudio is a good guy and a good manager.

Dessena is a really good player, much better than Marchionni.

I mean, he's not the dream coach, but he's got the experience, knows serieA, is Italian...

He did wonders with Parma in Serie A, he knows all the teams. Deschamps was playing in Serie B, comparing the two, Ranieri is more ready to work with Juve.

The transfer market starts on the 1st of July anyway. Until then I am sure he'll have his say if some negotiations are on the way.

I already like the guy.

You can look at the capture of Ranieri in two ways. One, Ranieri is not as good of a manager as Lippi and therefore he will fail. Or two, Ranieri is good manager who is very good at building a new squad and working with what he has, both of which we desperately need at Juventus after a season in Serie B.

Personally, I like the man because he's true to himself and his players, something you won't find with somebody such as Capello and other managers. At Chelsea he worked with what he had before Abramovich took over, built a good squad that competed for Champions League places when it was Manure and Arsenal with all the talent and money in the EPL. Then during his first season with the influx of the Russian money, he took the Blues to the semi-final of the Champions League despite many new players and finished second in the league to a side that went unbeaten for over an entire year. Not every manager could have such a record... average manager my arse.

So give Ranieri time. Lets see what signings we make and judge him after he has had a few games under his belt at this club. Ranieri is not the greatest but he's perhaps the best we could get at the moment, so we just have to hope for the best after the idiots at this club needlessly threw away Didier. And besides, at least one thing is certain with Ranieri... the youngsters at our club will receive playing time... that's sure. We better keep the likes of Marchisio and Giovinco.

Very odd. You could see he had a blank look on TV, he looked uncomfortable.
Maybe Ranieri wasn't his man and that ain't good...for him.

for me, this may be the most valuable part of hiring Ranieri

IF he can get this team in the kind of shape that the EPL teams are in, with speed, pace, and stamina, then that would be a step in the right direction

I'm sure Claudio Ranieri is the best option available on the market. Lippi is chillaxing,Mourinho,Wenger&Co. were all just unrealistic targets. I'm confident we reach at least place 4 with some nice new players buyed by Secco.
