he is dreaming when he talks about winning the schudetto
At least being ambitious is showing that he wants to take Juve somewhere, just conceding that Juve are just going to settle for just a Champions League place will not show that he wants to take Juve anywhere. By saying this he will motivate the players and push their performance to be higher.

Ranieri Dreams Of Scudetto

Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri is convinced that Juventus have what it takes to overhaul league-leaders Internazionale and go on to win the Scudetto.

This would require the Bianconeri to become the first team in the history of Italian football to win the Serie A title straight after promotion, but the ex-Chelsea coach is not daunted by the prospect.

“We have said since the start that this season will be far more entertaining and get even better the longer we can stick close to Inter,” said Ranieri. “It is only right to look at the top spot more than fourth, because we always aim for the leadership.”

Juve, who currently are six points behind Inter on fourth-place, will have their work cut out for them against Palermo on Sunday, as they will be without Jorge Andrade, Jean-Alain Boumsong, Zdenek Grygera and Giorgio Chiellini due to a combination of injuries and suspensions.

“The important thing is that those who do play give their best,” said Ranieri when asked about how he plans to contend with all the injuries.

“Domenico Criscito was revitalised by the Under-21 squad and did well at Parma in the second half when he was moved to central defence. I have choices and that is a good thing for a Coach.”

Ranieri concluded by warning everyone of the calibre of their opponents on Sunday.

“Palermo are a dangerous squad who have picked up a lot of points on their travels and scored 10 goals,” he was keen to stress.

“They are unbeaten in five and put in great performances against Genoa and Napoli. We will try to get maximum points fighting until the 90th minute and beyond, because they too tend to score in stoppages.”

Ranieri: “We aim for the top”

Manager Ranieri is getting ready to face Palermo with his team in good shape. All midfielders and forwards are available and the only players unavailable are in defence where, apart from Andrade and Boumsong, who have been out for a while, Chiellini and Grygera will both be missing the game; the former is suspended and the latter isn't fit after playing with the Czech national team: “The important thing is that whoever plays does the best they can - the Manager remarked – Criscito is fit, he came back well motivated from the Under 21 games and he'd done well in the second half at Parma, when he was shifted to central defence. Everybody is fit and apart from the defence I have a wide choice and this is a good thing for a Manager”.
The recent international games have made some of his players particularly confident, Iaquinta and Palladino above all: “They did well in a match that at the end of the day was pretty easy and Donadoni did well trying different solutions. We're happy for them and I'm even happier that Camo played a great game in Scotland and didn't play on Wednesday, because he 's not really fit enough to play that often yet”.
Apart from a top form Camoranesi, Ranieri can employ Nedved again, back from suspension, and he knows he can count on Tiago, who is clearly on the up, after his good performance at Parma: “Tiago is reacting and in the last month or so I've noticed he's started doing what he's capable of. Obviously there are players that don't want to give up their place on the team and this healthy rivalry is good for the Manager. I have to make choices for the good of the team and precisely for this reason the ones who stay out aren't necessarily less valid than the ones who play; everyone has different characteristics, and I always try to make the team balanced. Then sometimes during the match you have to make some swift changes, because the match dynamics have changed, and at that point it's important that the players on the bench keep themselves ready and that they consider themselves to all effects and purposes first-team regulars”.
Everybody's support is needed for the match against Palermo, also because the opponents are strong: “Palermo are a dangerous team, they've earned a lot of points away from home, they scored 10 goals and conceded 10, so they have to be kept in high regard. They played two great matches against Genoa and Napoli and they haven't lost in five games. We'll try to win, fighting until the 90th minute and beyond, because they're used to scoring in injury time, like us. Is this an important match for the League standings too? I don't think about that; we have teams like Udinese, Atalanta, Palermo that are in high positions, but we said it from the start: the League this year will be more exciting and it will be ever more exciting until we keep Inter Milan within reach. We must look more to first place rather than fourth, because we always aim for the top”.
Finally, asked about the ban on away fans, Ranieri said: “The rotten apples aren't in football. Football is a vehicle and those who keep accusing it just wish to ignore the real problems”.

Ranieri: Scudetto still a dream

Claudio Ranieri continues to play down Juventus’ title chances, despite last night’s crushing win over Palermo.

The Old Lady are just three points behind leaders Inter and are on a high after last night’s 5-0 win.

However, Ranieri remains cautious as the Bianconeri prepare to face Milan at the San Siro next Saturday.

“The Scudetto is still just a dream,” the former Parma boss maintained on La Politica nel Pallone.

“We will fight as hard as we can, but we have to give everything to keep getting three points. We won’t brag as we don’t have Inter’s resources.”

Milan are the only side in Serie A yet to pick up a home win, but Ranieri isn’t underestimating the size of the task.

“They are the European champions, but we need to keep up their run of not winning at the San Siro.”

While Juve continue to impress, summer additions Tiago Mendes and Sergio Almiron haven’t settled and could be headed for the exit.

“It’s not easy to go out and sign champions in June as we had to,” Ranieri explained.

“We have built a squad, but sometimes all the pieces don’t gel. I don’t think that we made any mistakes.

“During pre-season I became aware that we were missing a defensive midfielder, that’s why we kept hold of Antonio Nocerino and let Claudio Marchisio go.”

Finally, Ranieri had some words of praise for Serie A’s Capocannoniere David Trezeguet.

“David is enjoying himself,” he grinned. “In training he works like a madman and in games he runs everywhere. You can see that he is totally behind the new Juventus.”

i think Ranieri has multiple-personality disorder or something...before every game he says we will win the Scudetto...and after the game - win, draw or lose - he says it is still a dream...  ;)

For me this means : Our player should give all their best to achieve the best position in the table and don't get satisfied just for the 4th place. (before the match)

Ranieri: “Another exam at the San Siro”
Juventus' December starts with a bang: right off a big match at the “Scala of football”. The Bianconeri go back to the Meazza for an official League match almost two years after the last time. As always Saturday evening’s match against European Cup holders AC Milan is infinitely fascinating and important for the League standings too.

Now more than ever, with Ranieri's team near the top and Ancelotti's men chasing after a series of unexpected negative results - mainly at home, where they have yet to win in the League -, but also ready to fly over to Tokyo to compete in the World Cup for Clubs.

This is the typical match “that prepares itself”, as they say. And Ranieri did so having to endure a last-minute loss. Camoranesi is out, but Juventus are ready to play a great match regardless.

Juventus' Manager used a quote to introduce the match. “Exams never end, as Eduardo De Filippo used to say. And it'll be like that for us after the matches with our direct rivals. We'll try and win against a great team, who are European Cup holders, even though we know that it'll be a very difficult game, but an important one”.

Important for both teams: “We don't want to let who's in front of us run away. AC Milan are chasing but they're only behind by chance. They've never won at home and we'll do everything we can to extend this negative sequence of theirs. In any case, they'll surely recover positions in the second part of the season. I think they're still in the running for the title, even if Inter Milan and Roma would have to let go”.

Just over 24 hours from the match, Ranieri knows what to expect from his lads: “Now that I know that Camoranesi is unavailable, I'll have to consider everything and then make the best decision. We'll have to play humbly and with determination. The large win against Palermo is already forgotten, also because we're aware of the strength of our opponents. After so many draws with our direct title rivals, I'd like to win this time”.

Unfortunately Ranieri doesn't have any :money: to bribe the refs like Berlu or moRATti. The free kicks Milan were getting were crazy.... and the fouls, they committed without getting booked!

Thats a bit harsh...dont you think so?
Honestly?No.Not for me atleast.

Sorry guys i hate Ranieri.Even we are at good position i think he`s not the right man for us.We lost alot of points on stupid games and that should not happen.Including tonighs match.Even tho it sounds good "away game agains Milan and we got a point" , its not,at least not to me.They suck so much this season and can`t win anyone at San Siro. This was supposed to be an easy game for us.Still no chance for Tiago.Ranieri ruined him totaly just as he ruined my whole weekend with this pathetic point.
