Give him Molinaro and we're good.

That's a good idea, wish we could sell players to coaches.
We could offer Molinaro to Ranieri for 7 million. He says 4 million. We make the final offer 5.5m.
He offers 4m + to forget about the money we owe him.

We sign the deal.
We get rid of Ranieri and the money we owe to him, we get rid of Molinaro, and we also have 4m eur in our pockets.

Ranieri in Juve contract row
Sunday 19 July, 2009

It’s reported he has put in an official request to be registered for the new season, but as Ciro Ferrara has already been signed up for the post, Juventus cannot have two tacticians.

I assume the difference between this and Inter-Mancini is that Ranieri has asked to be free to coach this season, where Mancini was/is happy to do nothing and get paid handsomely for doing it?

Ranieri 'gets golden handshake'

There are reports that Claudio Ranieri has finally reached an agreement to terminate his contract with Juventus.

The Coach was fired two weeks from the end of last season and still has another year to run on his original deal.

Ranieri had threatened to take the matter to court and receive the wages for that year, while the Bianconeri were adamant they did not want to give him any 'golden handshake.’

According to reports in today’s newspapers, a deal was finally reached on Friday with Ranieri and all his coaching staff receiving a year’s wages.

It is not exactly a defeat for Juventus, as they will not now pay out the bonuses for Champions League qualification and any other success new boss Ciro Ferrara will attain.

There is also a reported clause barring Ranieri from taking on a new job until December 31, 2009.

It does leave the door open for him to start afresh in Russia, though, as Zenit are looking for a new Coach from January.

This will make all the Claudio Ranieri haters love him more.

  • We had an agreement with Werder for Diego a year ago but the deal was in doubt because Ranieri didn't want the player

  • We had agreements with Xabi Alonso and Van Der Vaart, but Ranieri blocked the deals and wanted Poulsen
