not foolish at all, i understand lippi's circumstances but i disagree with him saying 'i'll take over in october' if he cant give his full commitment straight away then he should just step away and say he will not return, asking the management to find a stop-gap coach untill after the season started is insulting and disgraceful in my eyes, maybe that quite appeals to you but i am definately not happy with it and this is why he disgraced me.
how do you know he asked for a stop gap coach?
did he tell u that?

I think if that was the case the management probably suggested it to him just to make sure they could land him. But he did infact turn it down and stepped aside. He never once said he would come. He just said he would not work right now and would work after October. You are just jumping all over him over nothing.

Anyway I just hope Ranieri does good for us and can build a good team with some top signings

easy there, Sally

some of us are just a little bit more concerned about his playing ability, rather than how round and tight his behind is :D

Zola: Ranieri best coach for Juventus

Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola says Claudio Ranieri is the "best coach for Juventus".

Zola worked under Ranieri for five years with Chelsea and said today upon the ex-Parma coach's appointment: "Ranieri is a coach indeed of great quality, beyond that he's a wonderful person.

"I will say you more: he is the best trainer for a certain type of team. Juve is just that type of team. And best of all is the way he values young players, he's a phenomenon in making them bloom without risking burnout or subjecting them to exaggerated pressures."

Now Italy U21 assistant coach, Zola continued: "I repeat: he is by far the best to coach a big club with young champions. And for the Under 21s, our Under 21s, this cannot be but a great development. Just consider Mimmo Criscito, Paolino De Ceglie, Claudio Marchisio, Sebastian Giovinco, all young Bianconeri players that are doing great things also for the Italy U21s."
Zola knows what he's talking about here. Ranieri's eagerness to help youngsters along is one of the reasons I'm all for Claudio.

I wouldnt throw all the garbage on Secco! from my point of view... i think secco was looking for greater players and DD didnt agree with him. I was kind of afraid of DD's market plans, you cannot make great squads with Saviola and Giuly! they're great players, but they're too small! In Serie A we need strong forwards. DD wanted to "reinforce" us with them and a couple of youngsters from france. I think Secco wants players whos good playing is a reality and not a promise!

Yes, Giuly was so bad. Iaquinta is brilliant.
