Do you guys remember when Ranieri said that Molinaro had a great season, and people here were saying that our manager was just being nice to certain players and we will still buy a reinforcement for the left-back position? Good call on that one..

Ranieri truly believes Molinaro had a great season. What a joke.
no, in fact Ranieri just thinks Molinaro is the only true leftback we have ...

how crazy by Ranieri ... since we have so much leftbacks in the team, right ?

reading helps, thinking too !

Apparently you need to do some reading back in this thread. Ranieri actually stated that Molinaro had a good season and people here said we would buy a better left-back.

Wrong on both accounts.

wish you applied what you preach, thinking would allow you to realize that the purpose of a transfer season is to address issues you had the year before and one unmissable gargantuan one is/was/will be our left flank. I saw barca this weekend and i couldnt keep my eyes off abidal, so envious.

that is not the current topic ... Ranieri said he would only try to play the 4-3-3 if he had everybody fit and available. This is not difficult to understand, since you need good fullbacks for a 4-3-3 and a natural leftback (in molinaro) is better than someone trying to play leftback who usually plays in another position.

dont mix what you want and what ranieri wants ! Ranieri wanted 2 players for each position and he got his second leftback with De Ceglie, so what is the point ?

Did i miss that YOU took over and are now responsible for the team ?

oh, i guess that eric abidal that sucked so badly in the euros 08 ? yes ... that would really be an improvement!

Now, since you seem to be doing the thinking for ranieri i will do the wanting.

refer to above, you can still have 2 players per position by switching one for another. let me make it real simple: Molinaro replacement + De Ceglie = 2 LBs

As for your suggestion about Abidal, now i get why your avatar has an "Ass" in it; and i do mean bible "ass".

Abidal is a former versatile CB who permanently moved to LB.

And he plays as such, he is far from good offensively (awkward), but is balanced in overall to do the necessarry now and then. Mainly just a conservative fullback due his strength being defensively rock solid.

The whole france team sucked in the euro's. So does that make benzema, Ribéry, nasri and others bad players ?! Abidal without a doubt is a big improvement over molinaro........

Mourinho Satisfied, Ends Ranieri Feud

Inter coach Jose Mourinho was satisfied with his side’s 1-0 win over Bayern Munich on Tuesday night. The result sees Inter lift the Beckenbauer Cup as well as the Pirelli trophy. The 'Special One' also settled the Ranieri battle.
The Nerazzurri were better than their opponents on the night and it was new signing Amantino Mancini who settled the affair in the second half.

Mourinho was pleased with the performance and he is hoping the team continues to evolve following the good display in the Allianz Arena.

“It was a good test for us and we played against a great team who are well ahead of us in terms of preparation,” said the coach after the game.

“They were really organised. We played much better in the second half as we kept the ball more and the last 15 minutes were important as we kept the lead.

“I was pleased mostly with the evolution of the team and the way we played together.”

Mourinho then spoke about the on-going feud with Claudio Ranieri but the 'Special One’ has decided to end the argument elegantly and accept defeat graciously.

“Ranieri? The story is simple, he spoke once and he was happy, he spoke twice and he was even more happy then he spoke a third time and he had a big smile on his face. I spoke once and he got upset,” said the coach

“We can end this here. It’s 3-1 to him but my goal was beautiful. No-one likes to lose but I accept it.

“I hope Ranieri and Juventus win the preliminaries of the Champions League, I will be supporting them.”
