Funny how Jose only choose to rate someone by his titles, even now that by his own standards he has failed and his admitted his failure by joining Inter.
CR spent half a billion euros to win the CL and he failed...
He is now afraid that his carrier might start to decline, thats why he wanted to ensure to fight with the odds seriously overloaded to his side, he joined Inter because he knows that Moratti has the unlimited petrol-money and the utter control of Serie-A post calciopoli...
CR was right to point out that Mourinho is afraid, that he fails unsecured, Jose demonstrated that with his choice and even admitted that with those comments he made, he can only bark back some title boasts, soon this is all that he will have to boast about, the titles won by his former presidents/onwers money...

Its really a pitiful sight to see such an arrogant person to be so afraid of the future, to feel so unsecured of his own skills...

Well how about ranieri proves him wrong with our juve?
This right here is by far Ranieri's greatest challenge. He must be able to get this title monkey off his back to be respected. Will the guy be able to with Juventus? Perhaps, but I don't think he will until after our main stars (Del Piero, Trezeguet, and Camoranesi) take a back seat role at the club, and who knows what the shape of the team will be by then. Unfortunately, a lot depends on the likes of Giovinco and Amauri, the "heirs" so to speak.

It's a shame, but I don't think we have what it takes to crack defenses that sit back against us, thus we will lose out on key points that we MUST attain to keep up with Inter.

Molinaro and Knezevic will be ok. We have the numbers at D. We may not have a lot of quality though but unless we sell a guy like Zebina then we won't buy a player in that department.

Schweinsteiger?rumours in a local paper today in Manchester.
He's not on a free yet.

Have you seen or read his comments about calciopoli? Don't think he did and don't think he will. CR has the apito dourado card. :smoke:

Ranieri archives Jose feud
Tuesday 5 August, 2008

Juventus boss Claudio Ranieri gives the final word in his spat with Jose Mourinho and looks ahead to tomorrow’s Manchester United game.

Tensions are running high after new Inter Coach Mourinho accused Ranieri of having a losing mentality.

The Juve tactician is keen to stop the budding war of words, but he couldn’t resist having a final swipe at the Special One.

“I think it’s best to leave the August controversies behind because they will pass with time just like football matches,” Ranieri told the Corriere dello Sport.

“However, Mourinho has shown everyone what he is really like by unveiling his true personality and what he thinks of his colleagues.

“It will be very difficult for him though. He has taken charge of a team that has won two consecutive titles and he will be expected to win everything.

“But I have gained a certain wisdom from my 70 years and I will be the first to congratulate him if he succeeds.”

Juve are taking on Manchester United in a prestigious friendly at Old Trafford tomorrow evening.

“These games cannot be defined as friendlies given the hype that surrounds them. It will be another test for us,” Ranieri stressed. “Everything is going well so far and we are feeling positive.

“I won’t be announcing the formation yet, but I will certainly give the players we have used least a chance to get some minutes, like the Azzurri players and Christian Poulsen.

“My I want to have a game with rhythm, so I don’t plan to make lots of substitutions.”

Ranieri concluded by discussing the arrival of Austrian international goalkeeper Alex Manninger this afternoon.

“I am delighted we have signed him,” he said. “He played alongside David Seaman at Arsenal where he won the double and he is an excellent professional.”

Ranieri: «More than a friendly against United»
After almost a week, the English tour is nearing its conclusion. The team carried out their last training session in the London area this morning – on the pitch at the Grove Country Estate Hotel – and tomorrow, Wednesday August 6th, they'll be travelling on to Manchester, where in the evening (at 8 pm local time, 9 pm in Italy) they'll be facing Manchester United in one of the most intriguing friendlies of their summer schedule.

In fact, it's more than a friendly, as Claudio Ranieri himself pointed out at today's press conference: «These matches are too evocative to be considered friendlies. It'll definitely be another good test for us. Things have been going well so far, I'm getting a good vibe. We're well on our way to being match-fit and the lads are digesting their workload very well».

After the two tough tests against Arsenal and Hamburg, here's another chance to take another step forward just one week from the qualifiers' first leg. At the same time as Bratislava Artmedia and Tampere will face each other challenging for a place against Juventus, the team will get another taste of Europe at Old Trafford: «I won't be announcing my starting eleven beforehand, but I'll definitely be playing those who played less and who need it the most, such as the Italian internationals and Poulsen. My intention is to give a good pace to the match, without too many changes. The 4-3-3 formation? I would've liked to try that, but to do so I would've preferred to have everybody available, especially Molinaro and Zanetti. Cristiano is feeling better, but we don't want to risk him».

Finally, he mentioned Sunday's game against Hamburg one more time. «I accept the result at face value. We made mistakes, things that wouldn't have happened in a League game. In any case there were also some positives».

Wow; it might be because you guys aren't reading newspapers in Italian, but Ranieri was completely owned by Mourinho. Jose's playing him and it's going to cost us during the season. At one point Ranieri actually accused Mourinho of being a winner, saying he himself does not need to win to know he's doing a good job. In other words, you can lose at Juve and still do a good job according to him.

Oh yeah, that's certainly true. It's best off if Ranieri just keeps his mouth shut. I think Mourinho even speaks better Italian than our manager.

Do you guys remember when Ranieri said that Molinaro had a great season, and people here were saying that our manager was just being nice to certain players and we will still buy a reinforcement for the left-back position? Good call on that one..

Ranieri truly believes Molinaro had a great season. What a joke.
