Looks like you were wrong. All those confirmed sources that guaranteed this injury was an ACL rupture. Wrong. Conte apparently has a totally incompetent medical staff working under him. :weee:
I think it is fair to say most if not all had a break down today with the initial reports which to be fair are usually not that far off, or at least I don't ever recall a case where something that is claimed to be as serious as it was first reported to be later something less severe, however there are no official dates, only the dates reported by sky in the same manner the other media sources claimed 7 months earlier on. I don't think we're quite out of the woods yet but im more hopeful than i was before

Mind=Blown. This thread just blew my mind. Mid-day break, I see that our CL run is now in DEEP shit. Get home, worn out from a 10 hour day, feeling low; check this thread around page 1406, cause I know it's going to have blown up. Start reading all the well wishes, and can't get through a couple of pages. Gutted, and decide I need to get high. Really, really high.

Rip the volcano for about half an hour straight, decide that I can now read a little more, post a little get better soon message... and fuck me, he's magically better?!

Unreal. What the fuck is going on with that medical team? Did they buy some refurbished, 3rd hand MRI machine off the back of a rental truck?

This feels just a little bit like a dream, and I fucking love it.

You're still dreaming. Now, open your window and spread out your wings.

Need clarification, is there any strain on his ACL or other minor damage? Or did he just knock his knee and will be rested 2 weeks which all of us wanted anyway?
The tests have excluded a partial (grade 2) or complete (grade 3) tear of the ACL, so its probably sprained knee (grade 1). Fibers of the ligament are stretched (not torn) and naturally heal with time.

Medical teams can make mistakes

Back when some morrocan fuck decided to open his cardoor in the middle of the night and i crashed over it, i had insane internal bleeding.

Dokter tought i tore off a hamstring.

Radiologist later found a whole bunch of tears in fat tissue and skinn torn off the underlying layers, but hamstrings intact

Sometimes, they fuck up

Conte's fitness coach Paolo Bertelli is regarded as the best in italy. Italy's doctor Enrico Castellacci has been with the team since 2004.

MRI scan was done in a clinic in florence and the resonance report said total tear of the ligament. Strange.

For whatever reason, my quote button isn't working.

Zach, of course doctors and medical teams can make mistakes. They're humans, they aren't infallible.

This, of course, is supposed to be an elite team of professionals, using world class facilities, investigating a very acute type of injury. Right? How many times have you heard of a major injury being reported by a team, only to have the diagnosis so drastically change over a matter of hours? Never? I can't remember another example off the top of my head.

Of course, if you go and ride your bike into a parked car, there's a good possibility you've done fucked a whole bunch of things up. :p

And Maddyhoffentosser: g'fuck yourself.

:sarcasm:

The dokter i went to, was a professional aswel. He used to be the medical docter of a first division team in belgium, and has a big reputation

But its okay. He also diagnosed meningitis in a very early stage, wich saved me from a fortnight in the hospital

The doctor in the hospital was probably interista!
