Marchisio: 'Better than expected!'
By Football Italia staff

Claudio Marchisio thanked fans, joking they sent him such good vibes that his knee ligament injury healed.

“You sent me so many good luck messages that the situation is much, much better than expected!” wrote Marchisio on Twitter and Instagram.

“Thanks from the heart for all the affection you’ve shown to me. I will keep you informed of the situation on a daily basis. Goodnight.”

It has been a rollercoaster of a day for the Juventus midfielder, who left the Italy training camp after a sprain in training and tests showed a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

However, later that evening the Juve medical staff performed another MRI that found no ligament damage at all.

It now remains to be seen how long he’ll be out for, but it certainly seems to be less than the original six to eight months predicted by Azzurri doctors.

I thought the same after reading the article. What are they doctors or waiters?
Seriously.

How the fuck does the Azzurri doctor come out with this statement:

“During the warm-up the player was believed to be suffering from just a sprain to his right knee,” Italy doctor Enrico Castellacci said in a statement released by the Italian FA.

“An MRI scan was performed immediately at the Fanfani Institute in Florence, which showed a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament.
.... and then 8 hours later, the Juventus medical staff and another doctor come out with this:

“Claudio Marchisio, who returned this afternoon from the national team's training grounds, underwent exams by the Juventus doctors and Professor Flavio Quaglia,” reads the statement.

“He was then given a new MRI scan to the right knee, under the supervision of Professor Carlo Faletti at the Fornaca clinic.

“The visit and the exam have ruled out damage to the anterior cruciate ligament.
The National team is so fucking inept. What a ridiculous failure.

Fantastic news!! :weee:

Seriously, I had to go out for drinks after the terrible news about Marchisio broke earlier. I'm talking about "I like you, Llloyd, You were always the best of them" type of drinking. I've been sitting at a bar with a buddy, a non-Juve buddy that is, so neither he nor I checked for any updates while sitting there.

And then I come back home, and Marchisio isn't even injured

:touched:

Oh and @Hustini  (the Cronios quotes)
