While I'm a fan of Marchisio, everyone can see he isn't playing to his level but by benching him and with the continuing suggestions he is leaving isnt going to help his confidence and his form. Asa played very well today but I would rather see Asa play a couple games there before I can base my judgement. Asa is rock solid and has strength while Marchisio has those darting runs and will cover any position for you. Both need to stay in the squad. A lb should be purchased and our midfield should be rotated between Marchisio, Vidal, Asa and Pogba. All this bull$#@! of Marchisio being sold should just end. If he wasnt sold in his earlier years when he didn't preform why would he be sold now?

is not funny at all. Marchisio is a very strong midfielder. He could walk into any epl team and more than half of spanish teams. While he isn't on the level of vidal he provides a different type of player. Marchisio is a cm you dont get rid of simply because he isnt preforming at his highest. He will run until you dies, he is juventus and he said it himself he will only leave if he feels unwanted.

Jordan Henderson, Rooney, Phil Jones, Andros Townsend and Peter Crouch. Just to mention a few.

This season? Easy.

Ramsey, Flamini, Paulinho, Ramires, Toure. And maybe Fernandinho and Lucas.
If you base it off this season fine. However Ramsey is having the season of his career, and the Lucas, Fernandinho, and Ramires are more cdm arent they? Flamini was garbage at Milan

But isn't Marchisio, words of our dadics master, forced to do a more defensive role nowadays? Any of these players i mentioned can do it better.

Flamini was, but surprised the hell out of me. Been playing good Football.

Fernandinho, meh. I agree atm but it's close

Ramsey atm I agree

Wilshere nah

Henderson god no

Gerrard nah, not now. Paulinho's pretty shit really

Ramires is just a glorified work horse.

Although I can name 4 better midfielders in Juve alone :agree:

:sergio: 5 pages of absolute drivel. The haters try so hard to put him down; the ardent supporters, blinded by their love, try to over-rate and find excuses to support their man.

Is he a confidence player? Yes.

Was that one season where he performed incredibly well an exception rather than the norm? Possibly, given how he has faded into obscurity recently.

Is he an important squad member? Yes.

Is he world class? Fuck no!

Is he indispensable? Possibly, depending on how much money we get for him, and the alternatives available to us.
