Marchisio was the better player in Conte's first season. So many clutch performances.

Vidal was better this year.
indeed

Nedved came when he was 29 right? You can't compare of course but it's still at a good age for a few years of good performances.

Yes, only the first half of 2011/2012 was Marchisio on par, not better, than Vidal. Since then he has fallen by the wayside.

Deluding oneself into thinking he's tactically a genius won't change the reality of him simply being a solid player, but not untouchable. Players like Vidal are untouchable at this point. When Vidal doesn't play you can see the difference in the teams general performance. When Marchisio doesn't, not so much.

I like having him in the team, but if a good offer comes through, then adios, particularly if it means raising funds for a top striker.
Allright, eighter your memory sucks, or you are beeing an ignorant anti marchisio lobbyist.

First part of 2011/2012 marchisio, pepe, pirlo, where the players who really stood out. Marchisio scored in nearly every top game. he was player of the month for 2 times, whilst vidal was playing good but not that good.

Second half of the season, vidal and marchisio were on par. This season, vidal has gotten gradually better, whilst marchisio stuck at the level of the second half of 2011/2012.

And nedved is the worst example ever really.
He has a completely diffrent physique, was allready high class AND mostly, juventus had a big budged to spend on that side. We had the attack and defence

Marchisio was having a better form than Vidal for almost the entire first half of last season for me but it all went downhill in the 2nd half.
Similar thing actually happened the season before too (let's put aside the Vidal comparison here though), only that he somehow regained his form in the last few matches and went on having good matches in Euro before the final, which was a disappointing performance from him (actually no one did good in that match).

Anyway, his statements of late might be interpreted as him worrying too much but can you really blame him? What with all of the rumors and how the management have been handling their long-time players like Ale, Trez, and Camo. And only after Claudio said those that Beppe finally went out and saying a resounding "no, we won't sell Marchisio".

First part was actually true because people did say that. I don't think it's funny, rather sad.

As for the second part, if anyone think Marchisio is a better player then he should be hospitalized.

You are only as good as your last half of the season really. Every summer it's the same thing though. Can't wait for it to be August already. (I really want to see how Llorente fits into the team :p)
It makes sense because it's about current form when making short term decisions. Players who perform in the last half of the season get called up for the summer tournaments while those who fail to keep their form are normally dropped. But it doesn't warrant questioning a player's capability of keeping his place at the team only because his form declined during the team's final run. Every player has its price but I do not understand why we should even discuss selling an important part of our working midfield which happens to be our main strength.

I don't know about the first part because I don't engage myself in such foolish predictions before the season even starts.

As for the second part, I don't think you implied that Vidal is currently the better player so I'm sorry, that's still something to laugh at.

People said ( i was one of them ) that Vidal should earn his place, especially that we were planning on playing with 2 MF, and i remember that Marchisio had a great preaseason, so we said that if Vidal is as great as he was hyped to be he would easily knock Marchisio out of the formation, wich didn't happen in the end and Conte decided to play with 3 man MF.

He was better and he was great in Bundesliga. Marchisio had only one good season being 27yo. I think that's something to laugh at ;)
