Marchisio's role has also been different compared to 11/12.

That season it was mostly Marchisio tasked with getting forward, with Vidal playing the more disciplined role to maintain the balance and shape of the team. Last season the roles were reversed and Vidal was generally given the more attacking role.

So, given that people thought he was a ghost when he was playing the more eye-catching role in 11/12, it's hardly suprisingly they aren't noticing his contribution isn't going to be as obvious.
no he wasnt given a different role. he had the same one. vidal did more because well the others sucked. pirlo, marchisio, and the forwards.

so yeah vidal was getting more involded because his team mates werent. someone had to take responsibility.

so whats his tackle ratio at? how about distance covered?
No idea, I don't keep track of such things.

Only occasionally saw the distance covered stats for CL games and Marchisio, but always up close to the top.

Don't know how that compares to what he was doing last season or what he does week-to-week in Serie A, though.

Funny, but not surprising. Marchisio is so overrated it's actually funny, at times it's sad.

I'd take Hernanes any day over Claudio.

Now people will start saying how reason is him being a fancy player. But no, he actually doesn't tend to disappear.

Anyway, Marchisio was okay last season.

Not as good as he was in 11/12.

Not half as bad as some round here would have you believe.
Vidal is far more superior in both role he plays, but especially when it comes to defending. You can see him being aggressive and dominating while that's not even the case from Marchisio.

Shit, this is worse than the religion thread.
Worst thread at Tuz for sure.

Overrated madness should be called.

But apparently only those that 'defend' him are being objective, according to Buck. lol

You think Hernanes could just slot into the position Marchisio plays currently?
I've seen him play at the 3 in the midfield. Everybody thought he'd be wasted there but I think he's quite good. IMO he's not any worse than him on that position, while he's miles ahead of Claudio when it comes to AMC role.

But it's really weird how big Juve fans think of Marchisio. I bet 50% wouldn't say those things if he wasn't a Juve product.
