Marchisio considers Nani exchange
By Football Italia staff

Claudio Marchisio is increasingly likely to leave Juventus, as Manchester United offer Nani plus €15m.

The midfielder is currently on international duty at the Confederations Cup and made it clear in a Press conference he was not at all happy with the club’s stance.

“I will have to talk to Juventus. I want to see if I’m still important for them. If not, then it is only normal for me to look at other teams. It has been said that my intentions are decisive, but it takes two to tango.”

Italian newspapers today suggest Marchisio received absolutely no response from Juventus, while it was also implied a pay rise was out of the question.

The Italian international who grew up in the Bianconeri youth academy is more likely than ever to leave Turin.

Tuttosport claim Marchisio’s €30m valuation will fund the summer transfer strategy and include a potential exchange with Manchester United winger Nani plus cash.

Monaco are also said to be interested in snapping up Marchisio for their midfield.
30 mil cash is obviously more favorite yet Nani + 15mil is also tempting. I don't think we will have any chance to sell him with higher price than what Monaco (an oil team looking for improvement) offer this summer but I am afraid this is another invention from Tuttosport. Lastly, selling a next season benched player to fund a needed forward is a wise move that we should do.

He feels threatened by Pogba no doubt and also because Vidal is going to sign a new and improved contract.
This.

Imo 2 factors are influencing this saga:

-His below par season. We hve to accept he was not the same marchisio of our first scudetto season... and in fact returned to his old ghostly self for big chunks of the season.

-Pogba: He is a direct contender for his position, and the guy is incredibly talented for his age. Marchisio knows this.

Still, he should not let thise kind of reports from newspapers trouble him..... he is acting like a derp.

If he needs to clear things with the club..he should fly to italy and sit down.... not being spitting cheap shots while being on duty
IMO, i think he is starting to feel the pressure. And now that we are in the urge of getting money to seal more important deals... he feels vulnerable.

Why the fuck would we let a symbol of the team, and an icon for many, just leave ?
Marchisio, is head and shoulders THE big image of our yought system.
No, Pogba was immediatly a first team player, Marchisio came from the primavera.

Offcourse he isnt leaving. And its only good he'll get competition from Pogba, Cause when Marchisio gets competition, he plays a whole lotta better.

When he's more asshured of his place, he declines

An icon and symbol of a club as great as juve, should be one of the best in the world in his position. Marchisio is and will never be that. Vidal is there. Pogba is on his way there. Coming from the youth system is not a reason to stay.

I like him a lot, want him to stay to be sincere..... but he really eeds to get more consistent..

Yesterday... i was cheking youtube vids with a pal who is a madrid/spain hardcore fan... and he shoved me in the face once again the euro final between spain and italy (once again..as we saw the game live together)..... and seeing claudio wandering around the midfield in a couple of spain goals really saddened me.

In the third goal , i think, Pirlo lost the ball clumsily with a poorly thought pass, and the spaniards recovered the ball near claudioñs position.... but he never reacted or at least tried to track them down. He just walked back and forth while the ball was being played aroud him. That really fuks me up.
Thats the kind of things that he needs to improve. He tends to go MIA a lot.

Im pretty sure that if it was Vidal the one who was there instead of him.... he would have tried a slicing tackle from behind or something.

Claudio needs to try at the very least to emulate what his partner does.

And if Zidane was there, what would he have done?

They're different players. Vidal slide tackles, Claudio doesn't. Why should be try to be Vidal?
Well, i dont know from where that Zidane comment came, but ill answer anyways. He was a monster playmaker, so if he missed a mark or two, he overly compensated with 3 or 4 assistances, or a free kick or a sublime performance.

He (marchisio) and vidal should be doing the very same job....because we cannot say that "claudio is more offensive oriented" because his presence is not felt like "Zidane" for example.... so he should and must devote himself to defend and pass the ball around midfield. Vidal doesnt have a problem to do that. And while im aware that Vidal is maybe the world best in what he does.... thats not excuse for Claudio to simply dissapear. And no, his offensive contribution is nowhere near the level it should be...to compensate his ghostly moments, if that is what u wanted to snipe with the zidane comment.

Juventus, wether we like it or not, can only get so far with senior player transfers. We cannot compete with the richest teams. We are putting alot of time and efford in our primavera, and signing players for it. And the continessa project, will bring a new academy and training grounds for them (alongside many other things)

How does one attract the best youngsters in italy ? By showing how they'll get sold ? No, they need a rolemodel. A player that shows you have a future at juventus, that you can make it into the first team, comming from the primavera.

Marchisio is that person. He is MUCH better then most people give him credit for (at least defensively) and a true icon for many juventus fans in italy.

Marchisio is world class in therms of tactical reading of the game and anticipating. He's just no bulldozer like essien, or has an endgame like Lampard.

There is a reason they offered 30 mil for him. Thats alot for a midfielder
