get lamela and jojo and you can implement 4-3-2-1

vuci, gio, pepe, jojo and lamela on wings.

with litch and chiellini as fullbacks you dont have to worry about lack of defensive contribution from the wingers.

in fatc it would be closer to this

----------barzagli-bonucci-chiellini
litch--------------------------------
------vidal-pobga/pirlo--asamoah

--lamela----llorente----vuci/jojo

of cours ei am thinking long term, not just next season

Only one problem there. Chiellini sucks as LB. It's painful to watch.

Right on.

Riquelme could only dream about having half the career of Marchisio! :D

It's fairly simple imo. People who think Juve's roots & traditions (the more sentimental bunch) are important, lo stile Juve as they say, will be against his sale. For those who think that is less or not important, he's free to leave.
Still, you'd think a player who was among the best, if not the best, in the season where we first clinched the scudetto again would get a lot more credit. Hell, he was pretty damn good this season as well & Pogba, or anyone else, will have an extremely difficult task to replace him in the current squad/formation.

so if some suitor came today and offered 50 mil for claudio, these sentimentalists will say no? my point is this has nothing to do with sentiments but valuation of intangibles, except in the case of marchisio his intangibles are that he's been a juventino for 20 years, just like de ceglie, granted the latter is not of the same quality but on the same token he wont garner as much traffic or fees. So what you really mean a "lot more credit" ifs higher valuation and you are free to think so obviously, but it's silly to paint those who value him around 25 mil as ingrates of some sort.

N.B: he was nowhere near damn good this season, pretty mediocre imo considering the expectations.

I think that's how it will probably be next year. Pogba is developing too fast to be a bench player. I've been reading lately how Conte is admirer of 4231 formation and Marchisio can't fit there. Pogba and Vidal on the other hand will be a perfect combo if we ever change to that.
Do you remember marchisio's greatest game ever vs milan last season 2-0. We used the 4-2-3-1 formation so he can fit.

And even if he were good on the LB it still wouldn't make sense to play him there, as he is infinitely better in the centre.
he wont play as a traditionl lb

he would be more in line with bonucci. think of his role in current system. he plays as part of back 3 that constantly moves forward, but it primarly part of a 3 man defense.

thats what he would play as.

i would have thought you guys would have atleast paid attention to the formation because it pretty self explanatory but i guess there is no cure for peasant stupidity

Asamoah/Pogba can easily replace Marchisio in midfield, That 25-30 million could make us such a stronger team with the right signings. We honestly wouldn't even notice Marchisio was gone with the team we will have next season.

70 mil says otherwise
Do u honestly see a 70 million offer coming in? Lets be realistic here. If Vidal said he wanted to leave i would have no problem with that i dont think a club should stand in the way of a player. 45 million would be a fair price for Vidal imo.

It was 4-1-4-1 with Vucinic as lone striker. And really one game doesn't change the years of mediocrity.

Doesn't matter. I would like us to change to a back 4. For winning in Europe we need that transformation. And natural LB who can actually cross and doesn't look like he will trip over the ball every time he gets forward.
