But he was not a MoM, not the best player out there, that's the whole point.
The whole point is that the entire MOM thing is nothing more than people's opinions.

He may not have been MOM for you & he wasn't for me either. But that doesn't mean he can't have been MOM for some others. Or are the only valid opinions those who preferred a different player?

That's the whole point. The same others.

I pick the worst player for example and say he's MoM, then I'm clearly wrong (not saying Marchisio was the worst..). It's not about opinions, it's just being wrong.

I thought he was the best player out there, there wasn't any clear cut MoM that game, you could argue for Gio with his 2 goals but other than that, i thought Claudio had the best performance.
2 goals and basically one assist.

2 goals and a penalty that gave the lead and a player more advantage for basically the entire game. Giovinco could have missed every single pass the entire game and he'd still be MOM.

He scored 2 goals when the game was basically finished, so I could definitely see why not everyone is going to go for him as MOM.

Well one could argue that is the case, yes. The first goal is without doubt much more important than the 5th one.

Not exactly strong reasoning. Who says, who's the worst player? It's also just opinion-based, same as who the best player is.

Nevertheless, he will be MoM.

Sometimes it's rather obvious when somebody makes a mistake and stands out as the worst player.

Marchisio wasn't the best player out there, simple as that.

Yes, that's exactly what I said.

You're just being stubborn, so I'm done with it.
Fine.

I think you fail to see the point here. Who the best(or worst) player is can never be a fact.

Facts aren't incontestable either, but that's a different discussion.

Exactly what I do after reading your posts about Marchisio being MoM. But there's also laugh.
Simply because you scored the winning goal/ the most goals doesn't make you MoM, it's like saying Henry was the best player in the game against Brazil in 2006 WC instead of Zidane because he scored the winning goal. ??

PS: I'am not in any way comparing Marchisio's performance to Zidane.
