Marchisio has Juventus dream
By Football Italia staff

Claudio Marchisio has underlined that he’d like to end his playing days with Juventus. “I now feel like a leader.”

The 26-year-old is a stable member of the starting XI after graduating through the youth ranks at the Italian club.

“I want to remain at Juventus for life,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “However, for now, I’m just thinking about this season and helping the club get back on to the stage that it deserves.

“I’m more worried about winning during the present rather than thinking about the future.”

The Italian international is now one of the most experienced players at the club after a few summers of big squad changes.

“I feel like a leader because I’ve acquired experience in these years,” he added. “The club have allowed players like myself and Giorgio Chiellini to grow in the right way.

“We are now in the position to teach others in the side about what it means to wear this shirt…”

Marchisio, who spent the 2007-08 season on loan at Empoli, is the fourth highest appearance maker [167] and goalscorer [18] in the present squad.

Only Alex Del Piero, Gigi Buffon and Chiellini have played in more game for Juve than him. Only Del Piero, Chiellini and Alessandro Matri have more goals.

He speaks so high of himself. I find those people rather sad.

He didn't learn anything from Del Piero.
What did he say that is full of himself? That he feels like a leader in this squad through experience? Why wouldnt he be? He has been with us for 6 years, your average player in the squad outside him and the senior trio mentionned plus DC, have been with us for 1.5-2 seasons at most.

We have had massive reshaping and re-filling of our team in last 3 years, so someone who he has been there for 6 years as a player feeling like he has experience to share is not so farfetched or full of himself. More importantly, nor is it saying he can share with new players (that initially only see Juve as another top club to play for) what means to wear a shirt of a club he has been involved since he was 7-8 years old. Well duh. Its nothing to belittle, this is a player who while being interviewed in Juve channel, was shown a goal he scored when he was 11-12 years old, that the memory of it and how far he has come since in his HOME club made him cry.

Its not kinda affection to take for granted or belittle (and the main reason I like our current team alot, because we have someone like Conte instilling it to everyone). And yes someone like him has experience to share or things to say to new players (both Vidal and Elia has said how helpful he has been to welcoming them to the club etc). Can be needed, considering how we been performing in previous 3 seasons, its not something to take for granted and neither something which everyone gotten. Reminds me of what Gigi said about some the attitude some our players in these seasons, specifically remember this that was there 3-4 years ago, Ranieri made this quote public: "Buffon was really angry inside the dressing room against Palermo. He started shouting and screaming and he said: 'This shirt is heavy, if you can't manage to carry it on your shoulders then don't even walk out onto the pitch,' "

In a nutshell Dule, I really dont get what you find so sad about those simple comments.

Marchisio: "I would take Del Piero to the Euros not just as a friend but also a player."

so sad, really.
Ok, so you had to search for another interview to 'prove' me wrong.

And yes, what he said there is rather nice and I would take Del Piero to the Euros too. But what the fuck does that have to do with anything we're discussing here? Nothing.

In a nutshell Dule, I really dont get what you find so sad about those simple comments.
There is nothing simple in this line "I feel like a leader". When you hear it from other players while it's being directed to someone, then it's totally different. But sorry, it's just retarded to say such EVEN if what he said might be true, at some point. You'll never hear it from classy players, they don't praise themselves even if they are on a much higher level than Claudio. You can even say that I'm a hater, I'll laugh, as there are many weird people. It's just how I see it and I have a reason. Unlike Ahmed who tried to say he's great with a totally different statement.

Its retarded to say it even it might be true? (which it is, a squad filled with fresh players, the potential bandiera who been in the organisation since he was 8 is more likely to have shit to share/lead by example). So basically you wanted false modesty.

Its just weird you chosen something so trivial to exagerrate and see something negative in, when the whole tone of that interview was basically highlighting how he feels integrated to the club completely throughout these years and how someone like him stands out naturally in team filled with fresh faces. I mean seriously, whats the negative to find in: "“I feel like a leader because I’ve acquired experience in these years,” he added. “The club have allowed players like myself and Giorgio Chiellini to grow in the right way." Key being "because I've acquired experience in these years", well duh. What a retarded primadonna.

Everyone would be laughing if it was De Ceglie who said while on the other hand it's not a big difference.

Experience? Hmm... loaned to Serie B, played with Juve while being 7th and didn't see Champions League yet. Oh, he did play against Shamrock. Not to mention how he was average at best all those years, till this season when he's actually preforming better.

Dude, I'm not saying he's an idiot for saying that. I did not like it because talking high of yourself is way off in my books, I hate when people in real life start talking crap like that. What do you want me to say? Yes, he had like 15 interviews for Juve and like 14 and a half were good. They were! But it has nothing to do with this, I'm only pointing out this like because I see think it's stupid and that is all (because it is stupid).

Only trying to understand whats so stupid about the 2-3 simple comments he made, but nevermind, not worth going on and on about. Just going to say just made something trivial to become so exaggerated ("full of himself", "retarded", "stupid").

Actually it's only one comment. But surely not worth discussing, some will always see the positive.
