If he plays like that every game who knows what we can achieve? Do I do dare say the S word? :D If we play a 4-3-3 like at the end of the match against teams like Napoli, Milan, Inter, Udinese who all play a lot of defensive midfielders and Vidal and Marchisio play like they just did, the 's' word MAY be possible.

Marchisio archives Parma triumph

Claudio Marchisio has urged his Juventus side to build on their impressive start to the season following the win over Parma.

The Old Lady began the campaign at their new arena in scintillating fashion as Marchisio netted a beauty in the 4-1 success.

“We must now remain focused on the next fixtures, knowing that this must be our course,” the Italian international noted.

“Even in the other seasons we were quite strong, but we suffered from some problems, especially concerning our mentality, but new Coach Antonio Conte has arrived to help us with this aspect.

“This victory should be a signal for ourselves, not just for our rivals, in order to get much more inner strength. We’re perfectly aware of our potential.

“It has been a perfect Sunday. We've achieved a great win. In addition to our four goals, we've played good football, being determined and never giving up.”

The game did end slightly disappointingly though as Paolo De Ceglie was sent-off after giving away a penalty which Sebastian Giovinco slotted home.

The Bianconeri are next in action at Siena before League games against Bologna and Catania.

As Pirlo picked the passes, Marchisio was the protector- 6 tackles was the most of any Juve player, and he also made 3 interceptions to help break up any opposition attacks.

Marchisio made 107 touches, second only to Pirlo (123), and played 80 passes with a fantastic 91% accuracy. He made 1 key pass and played 6 long balls (all accurate) and had 2 shots at goal, both of which were on target. A fantastic all-round performance was topped off with an 83rd minute goal as Marchisio- despite a delightful debut showing from Pirlo that brought the ex-Milan man 2 assists- walked off with the man of the match award.

Is the euphoria over his goal now over? Have the trolls returned to their repetitive drivel?

He'll be a starter this year . And I think Conte is the perfect coach for him. He understands his game very well because he is simmilar to what Conte was as a player.

I'm still watching the game, but just in the first half he was a beast on the pressure chapter. And what I found most lovely in that half was the movement to create passing lines made by him, Pirlo (mostly) and Del Piero. The last one wasn't so effective with the ball, but he still did good movements for the team.

But anyway, he's average at best and will pass the rest of the season doin' a Casper on the pitch.
