His calmness on the ball and the versatility to practically play in every position in midfield are rare to find nowadays. Great to have him. Definitely the brightest prospect from our primavera.

I agree totaly, he have everything in football aspect (for one middlefield player) but must learn to control these stupid yellow cards like one against fiore.

He's starting to get back to his superb form that he showed before his injury this season.

Really becoming one of my favourite players, and that pass through to Trez in the first half was superb.

Undoubtedly, He had a decent game against Fiorentina, mainly in the second half. Though he lacks consistency, which is understandable given his age, our regularly altering formation and selection and managerial fluctuations. The most important thing is that his development continues, rather than has become stunted as I worried it might.

Its more a fact, to me anyway, that Gio is not as trusted or as needed in the formations we have been playing for the last two seasons...4-4-2, with Nedved ALWAYS taking priority, then only a fleeting flirtation with a 4-2-3-1 this season, which required the atomic ant. There is more to it than simply Who has developed into a better player in his particular role, more quickly...
