He was amazing yesterday. Imo even better performance than some of his famous performances from the start of the season. He was literally everywhere in defense and attack.

After the Lazio match I suggested both Mirko and Claudio to be rested when we face Cesena. They really looked tired and couldn't do the things they usually do with ease. For an unfortunate reason the Cesena match got canceled and Claudio got the rest I wanted him to get. The positive consequences of that rest were clear yesterday. He was so fresh and full of energy. Exactly what we need in the next 3 weeks.

Ha, that was no dive. You could see on the replay his foot bent right back from contact, anyone who has played football knows what happens when you do that at speed - sprawling on your belly like a penguin.
Yep, if you want to stay on your feet you sure can in that situation since it wasn't his supporting foot, but as you said anyone who played football with a referee will sure fall for such a contact since it's a foul and a penalty.

red card was harsh, but cheesio didn't dive. it was a YC for the keeper and a clearcut penalty. you only give red cards to goalies when they deliberately stop the player after they're passed. Martin came out and tried to close off cheesios shooting possiblities, accidentally tripping him in the process.

Am i the only one that thinks he dived? The ball jumped from his foot and he would have lost it. Still we finally get a penalty.
Ive never seen Stekelenburg come out with his feet first instead of his hands, his form is really worrying for the EC2012.

Solid performance by Claudio! Great goal!

There's contact and it wasn't a slight one. He could've stayed on his feet but to do so he had to abandon chasing the ball and focus on balancing himself. So, he did the right thing.

I don't think it was a dive. It's very clear that the Roma keeper has his foot very high of the ground. There was no reason for him to have his leg there. That said, Claudio did look for the penalty kick witch was very well done by him!!
