Far from it. I guess Juve didn't win a match.
If you don't see it, then I guess you don't see it. But I think I remember you supporting his being fielded out of position since day one, even when it didn't work at all for other managers.

Even with Pepe out left, a player whom I don't really rate, at least we get some width out left and that will stretch opposition defenses. We could have used that against Roma.

Andy, are you really watching hte Juve games? Because I can't remember Marchisio hugging the wing that much, his style of play forces the formation to a 4-3-3

That's the thing, he usually doesn't hug the wing, which is why we don't have any attacking threats coming from the left. In reality, it's not even a 4-3-3 because we tend to not have anyone wide left, unless Del Piero heads out to the touch line or the left-back wobbles his way down there, once in a blue moon. It really is a straight 4-4-2 with Marchisio playing more inside.

As I said before, this would work better with someone like Zambro at the back, but we don't have that. And without a left flank presence, we make it predictable to defend against Krasic.

It actually stated working out well when De Ceglie started finding form, alas he got injured. At the same time Grygera got injured which forced Krasic into more defensive duties because of the inabilities of Motta.

Now you would ask me why didn't we change since we lack the right players, my answer would be because we don't have the right players to fill any position. I agree that Marchisio is being played out of position but he still adds to our game. We don't make any threat from the left because Grosso does not have any tactical understanding to link up, he puts in great balls but it only happens when by coincidence he finds himself up there.

And Pepe returned from injury just two games ago, I know it is becoming repetitive but give it a bit of time. The injuries are not giving us a break, hopefully we won't suffer more during our regular worst period of the season that is coming pretty much soon.

That's where we differ. I don't think it adds anything to our game offensively, and I'm not sure how much it adds defensively. Logic would point to having more width being a defensive safeguard in its own right, meaning the right-winger from the other side, and maybe a CM, would have to back track more.

I'm not against unbalanced sides, but this is far more unbalanced than Lippi's in 2003, to the extent of having no net gain. Not a big fan of Pepe and Martinez but we should really use 4-3-3.

Im still waiting for an answer to my question. Not silly remarks.

But I guess those silly remarks answer the fucking question, doesn't it?

Thought so.

get him off the wing.
Marchisio has 2 goals and is second in the team with 3 assists.

Ant his tackles are very beautiful, only for that he should play.

I never support a player being played out of position purposely, and don't remember Marchisio playing much in this role before Delneri, occasionally and at the World Cup with Italy for one game. However Marchisio has done well in his interchangeable role on that left side.
