Marchisio's top form days are not attainable anymore. It's just a reality. We saw a knee injury turn Asamoah into nothing and he was in his mid-20s and far more athletic than Marchisio.

Marchisio is over 30 and had a worse injury. It would be against all odds if he could become a starter again IMO. The odds are way, way better as a regista. As a B2B, it's just a fairy tale.

Matuidis pass was too far away from Khedira, he had to chase after the ball and there is no way he could have reacted fast enough once Caceres got away with it. his shot was also well placed and probably wouldnt have gone in the next 5 times he tried it (we gave away chances like that before this season, vs Napoli and Roma most notably). Khedira, who was running full speed, would have to stop instantly and run the other way, again at full speed, to even come into position to faul Caceres.

you do realize Marchisio was injured for 2 months at the beginning of this season right? and Pjacas injury was in 2017, so a whole year apart. for Marchisio to get fit he needs to work on getting 100% physical condition, not playing games while not being fit. that will only make it worse. playing games is not the solution for every problem

pretty much sums it up. might be a good idea to keep Khedira past this season even, if Can is the only midfield addition we will get
Play him for 4 mins then 11 mins then 9 mins then boom here play for most of a game. Of course there hasn’t been a proper reintegration of him. 2-3 games will go by without playing then a hand full of mins and what do you expect?

Our physios suck, we already know that. Add to that how max is using him.

His muscles aren’t getting the strength they need that pure game time will give them.

But he can't play much in the condition he's in. And I don't think 60-70 minutes against bottom Serie A teams will make any difference for him, we play those games without using much energy after all. He simply needs to get back in physical shape before getting serious minutes against serious competition

Ok. Now, you're pushing it. That Barella kid has potential though, and if Mandragora means we sell The Accident to some EPL scrubs for 20+ million, sign me up.

Matuidi gave the ball away but defensively Khedira was a statue and his reaction was slow motion. The guy skipped right by him. In that instance, Marchisio, for example, would have fouled him before getting the shot off. Claudio is notorious for picking up bookings like that but at least it prevents a clear cut chance and pushes it to a harder to convert FK.

As for everything else, the bolded is the key part and sums up my entire argument. You want to know why Marchisio is far away from a fit and form Marchisio...ready for it...he has nearly 400 mins played this season. He started the preseason well, looked fit and was looking a bit more like himself. That was 5 months ago. Only way to get marchisio fit is to start playing him more. Does that mean a full 90 mins every game, absolutely not. But he barely even gets the nod as a sub anymore. Of the last five matches he came on a sub three times and got 4 mins, 11 mins, 9 mins. Hard to get a midfielder fit on 4 mins

Juve fans are unloyal bitches. Marchisio is one of the great midfielders in Juventus history and at his peak shits on Pjanic, Matuidi, and especially Khedira. This forum was shitting on him before he found himself at regista and you are all shitting on him now. When he is back to his best I dont want to see you bitches celebrate or if he leaves next summer dont fakely criticize Allegri or Marotta.

Ungrateful bitches he was not bad at all yesterday and Allegri is an idiot for playing him as b2b when he is not fully fit since it is not his true position.

Also I find it funny that Zizinho the same guy who constantly shits on Higuain is riding Khedira's dick. Pretty much the same players but in different positions.

Lmao, khedira is a both ucl and world cup winner; marchisio has never won either competition yet, at this point he may never will.
What a fag

Khedira barely played in Madrid's CL win
Germany with or without Khedira were winning that World Cup, they even won the final without him

Capdevilla won the World Cup and Euros. Guess he's better than Cr7 and Messi

Here's why Juve is upset by Conte's pursuit of Ross Barkley
05 January at 11:30

News trickled out Thursday night that Chelsea were closing in on a shocking move for Everton midfielder Ross Barkley. While it was expected that the Englishman would leave Goodison Park in 2018, few expected their London rivals ?!? to be the ones to snatch him. With his contract expiring in the summer, and manager Sam Allardyce admitting the Toffees will lose Barkley, Chelsea are taking advantage of his situation and are close to a cut-rate €17 million transaction.

The news will come as a disappointment to Juventus, who were hoping to help fill Antonio Conte’s need in midfield with Claudio Marchisio. The Italian enjoyed some of the best years of his career under Conte, but now finds himself far down Max Allegri’s depth chart. It was hoped that the 31-year-old would welcome a reunion with his former manager and serve as a key first team player for Chelsea as their winter schedule becomes hectic. Now, however, they’ll need to look elsewhere to dispose of him.

I really enjoy calciomercato, I always learn something new there, something I did not know yet.. Dont be upset, brothers and sisters from Juve, you can always look elsewhere to dispose of our club legend, best of luck!!

How do you get him back in physical shape then?

By not playing him?

The worrying thing is that ever since he tore his ACL back in April 2016, he has been completely unable to string a decent run of games together. He's seemingly always injured or unfit to play 90 minutes. It's been almost 2 years now since that initial injury, which normally only takes 6 months to recover from. Maybe there are bigger underlying problems to why his knee is not heeling properly.

calma, remember the baby deer must first learn to walk with a gentle hand guiding it.
Forgot the fawn analogy

But seriously, if Z is ok with the current reintegration regime that Claudio is on, when is it realistic for him to ever get full match fitness?

He doesn’t need pace to do his job.

Working out? How do you get back after an injury? You start playing immediately after the operation?
His operation was nearly a year ago :D
