not an assist, but cool finish
On paper it's an assist. And it was given to him: http://www.espnfc.com/uk/en/gamecast/statistics/id/376965/statistics.html?soccernet=true&cc=5739
But in reality it was a simple pass to Tevez and the Argie did 99,9% of the job.

However, it counts as an assist and shockingly it's his first of the season  So, to sum up, this entire season, before tonight, he scored 2 goals and made 0 assists, and tonight in 90 minutes he did as much as he did in +2700 minutes previously this season.

 Not surprised at all. It actually sums him up and it's funny.

Not as many as pre-pre-pre-pre assists :agree:

I wonder how many successful attempts at covering for Pirlo he has? Probably in the thousands..

No coincidence he seems to find himself in front of goal at the end of matches when we're chasing points and are willing to sacrifice defensive duties..

thats what i said in the game thread, the stats really should not be brought up in his case, it would show his season to be even poorer than it was, so it's funny that his fans would continue to call it an assist

but it was a good pass, perfect timing and perfectly placed. besides, how many players would have passed the ball out to the wing in that situation or try a trought ball to Llo. Marchisio is keeping it simple and thats whats good about him :D

:lol2:

What the fuck is a pre-assist?
Actually, it would be nice if they start keeping track of that. Lots of time the pass to the assistman is vital. Like Pogba's through pass tonight for Licht. Or Ronaldo last week for Coentrao.
Pirlo would lead the charts in Juve, I think.
