This generation of players is arguably one of the best ever , certainly for a very long time, its kinda hard to be able to come up with a generation of players that were this good
Some of the players are
Alessandro Delpiero
Zinedine Zidane
Christian Vieri
Filipo Inzaghi
David Beckham
Manuel Rui Costa
Luis Figo
Raul
Montella
Robbie Fowler
Paul Scholes
DeLa pena
Edgar Davids
Clarence Seedorf
Patrick Kluivert
Rivaldo
Roberto Carlos
Cafu
Djalminha
Denilson
Cannavaro
Nesta
Pavel Nedved
Porbosky
Juan Sebastian Veron
Hernan Crespo

This really was a golden era of great footballers

Owen is not of that generation , he might have played in the world cup but he is not of that generation of players, neither is Ortega as he is more of Baggio's generation or just slightly after. I didnt put the likes of Totti, Henry and Sheva for the same reason as they are slightly later but they could be included if you wanted to cheat a bit

I don't think all of these players are from the same generation. Raul for example is seven years younger than Cafu and Djalminha. When I think of a generation I would think like Don Bes, with players that are more or less the same age.
