@Jäger To me they were real tight matches against them despite losing, mostly playing better than Manu and don't forget who won the final last spring.
And having a win percentage of 55 in arsenal and gettin them to play in a final while only being there for such a short period is very well done to me at least.

@GrandeGigi Listen no Genoa would ever even dream about winning the Europa league or having even close to tight matches against Atletico or Real or such...And pressing like crazy in the first tier on ucl playoffs would be too much risk and they know it.

Edit; Not sure if feeding trolls here.

TBF it all started when the referee decide to completely change the way he was whistling. In the first half he whistled every soft foul, then in the second half it changed completely, there was a period before the goal when some of our attackers were pushed or grabbed few times and there was no reaction from the ref. We lost like 3 or 4 balls because of this and then lost a goal.
I know our players are pussies and go down to easily but we should also expect at least some consistency from the ref, he basically didnt allow any touch in the first half and then let quite brutal play with no fouls in the second. That shouldnt happen.
I didn't really notice a change in the referee myself, but I guess that could have had an impact.

Wee weren't great before the goal, i think. We tried to kill the game, but we never had the (defensive) control we sought. We misplaced passes and couldn't string three passes together to relieve some pressure. We were asking for it.
Not great, no. And I also agree that our defense was never 100% in control, like we used to be a few years ago. But I did think everyone was doing their job.
All throughout the 1st half, I had the idea that a second goal from us was more likely than a first one for them. But then, at around the 60 minute mark, guys like De Sciglio, Rabiot, Cuadrado, De Ligt, etc started messing around.

Yes, actually, I thought the first half was quite decent. Defensive posture, but decisive.

It's like they can't handle the physical/mental challenge of keeping the posture, and all of a sudden, the fuckups are contagious. Morata is typically one of the first to fold. Have to get rid of these kind of players and change the identity of the team
:agree:

There was a 15 minute or so stretch of the game where we we're just truly appaling.

We havent played well and we must continue to work after scoring a goal but a draw in Spain isnt such a bad result.
Now we have a home game and to be honest - If we dont beat them at home, we deserve to be eliminated.

If we don’t beat them at home and put in another woeful performance, then Max probably should be sacked at the end of the season. I want to see improvement in the second leg, especially considering it’s at home and several weeks off. He’ll have had the new signings for almost two months then to fully integrate them into the team. If nothing changes by then, Max just isn’t doing his job, and unfortunately it will be time to shake things up yet again, even though this team desperately needs some stability and consistency from the coaching position.

I think it should be based on 4th spot minimum but I do agree I expected to see much more from this Juventus.

If we change coach I hope it will be someone who is firstly a motivator and then has a modern style of play.
Zidane seems like the one we missed but is he really a motivator?

only two because it was Morata who was shooting, his chance after the McKennie pass should be at least a shot on target. He had like 2 big chances and none of them ended even on target.
Also that blocked shot of McKennie from like 5 meters, those were really clean chances and better team would finish those.
morata is a special forward with poor first touch and don't know how to kick the ball to shoot
