We could've buried them in first leg, but instead, surrendered the ball and dropped deep after 15 or 20 mins and let them gain in confidence and do what they do best: play with a high line and press.

Holding a high line and taking space away, they won the ball right back every time, and when the long ball found Higuain behind their line, instead of going clear, tubs had to drag the ball back every single time.

With the Dybala-Higuain-DC trident, I guess our defensive shape will be 442. I prefer Higuain as the deepest striker defensively with Dybala on the defenders' shoulders. Wouldn't mind Alex Sandro in the tridente either.

Lack of intensity/fatigue has been an issue. Play hard and get a two-goal lead by 70th minute and then hang on. Avoid OT at all cost. I'm getting flashbacks of Bayern.

You guys have been arguing we're always very defensive under Allegri. Sass game was just a month ago. When you score 7, you can't be overly defensive or poor whether it's Sass or not. One recent example. There are 3.5 years of data.

When we faced Barca last season, they had scored 26 goals in 8 games, most in the CL. We had scored 14 goals in 8 games. Far far down the list.

According to your logic Barca should have smashed us with all that goalscoring power... I'm confused, because iirc we smashed them.

Refer back to my post. It states why we had to work on becoming more solid after leaking goals left and right and losing points at start of the season. Things changed for the better after the Samp game. We took a more defensive approach in the 2nd Barca game and last GS game. It served us well. We were higher on the list after first 4 games I'm sure, but we also weren't doing well. But in the 2nd Barca game, we picked up a valuable point.

Focus on those 30 mins vs Spurs and the more attacking 4231 lineup vs them which I'm sure you liked.

Liverpool, and personally I think we'd got more respect and cautious play from bayern and city and would have preferred drawing them. Spurs reminds me of our first season with Allegri in Europe. Hungry to prove our strength and for success.

Unlike what Kane's said in that interview, I think we will see more of the ball this time and they will mainly focus to damage from the wings this time.

I absolutely agree. I think Kane and Pochettino are bluffing. They arent going to go high press, at least not for the whole match. They might try it for the first 10-15 mins but I think after that, they'll definitely sit back and invite us to attack since we have to chase the tie

The dream would be Liverpool knocking out City and Barca (Barca beat Bayern in quarters) on the way to the finals, then we knock out Roma in the quarters and Man U in the semis. (Man U beat Real through Mourinho style) Then, we'd finally have a final where we're favourites. (Klopp is pretty bad at finals too) hahahahaha. probabaly like a 1/100 chance of this happening but I can dream

This is incorrect I believe. Mandzukic isn't even in the squad so he cant be on the left wing. Some rumours are saying the frontline will be (L-R) Costa - Higuain - Dybala

This game is a huge chance for Dybala to increase his global/european presence. So far, he's only really excelled in 1 UCL tie (last season first leg vs Barcelona) so hope that he makes the difference in this tie. For how much Higuain is criticized, he's already been pretty key/useful in several big matches for us within 1.5 seasons.

Yup, I agree. If we somehow get to the Finals again this season, my dream opponent is Liverpool I think. Has historical significance, is an EPL club and is also a club I feel we can excel against gameplay wise

Haha, yeah. i know im living in dreams. I have to say though that the pain of the 2 recent losses has really subsided a lot. It's still my lifelong dream to see us win a UCL title (since I started supporting Juve in the 2003/03 season) but until we do, I still really appreciate what we've achieved in the last 6 seasons. As a Tennis fan, i see some similarities with Andy Murray's career and Ive come to appreciate that even though it hurts like anything, being a UCL runner up (like a grand slam runner up) is still a huge achievement in itself
