No reason to sign a right back when we are going back to 3-man backline next season.
And no reason to sign a central midfielder when we play a 2-men midfield in front of the 3-man backline.
3-4-2-1 with Cuads and Sandro on the wings :tuttosport:

If we're being honest we also need a better ball distributor than Pjanic. He's great at set pieces and the odd nice pass, but he can barely dictate the tempo of a game.
Yep. I still think Pjanic was great in a more offensive role. It might be that we should get a regista type of player like Verratti. I'm a little excited for Mandragoras return as well. The guy is the Italian Busquets.

Agreed. It's pretty cool to have guests such as yourself by the way
Thank you.

I have found that many of Juve's fans tend to be a bit more informed and reasonable than most. Perhaps a little too self-critical. And maybe there's 1% that have some (bordering on zealous and unusual) irrational dislike of the English. But, by and large, it's a fan base that's selling your club rather well.

If we do get knocked out then I hope Juve go on to win it. I've seen us dominate and embarrass Real Madrid, Man Utd and Liverpool this year. And none of them made us *&%! our pants like Juve did in the first 10 mins a couple of weeks back. I think you're a lot better than some of you realise.

First of all, I wrote 3-man backline not 3-5-2. Secondly, we don't need to sign a new wingback. We've got plenty of players that can fill that role.
Any three man backline is a 5-3-2 defending. And while Allegri is coach the wingers will have to track back. My concern for the three man backline is that it's not suited for CL. Only a team like Merda has won the CL with a three man backline.

A forum for a football club where the language isn't the clubs native tongue, tends to weed out the dumbest and most unnuanced. Hardly a coincidence that this forum's dumbest members [in general] comes from english speaking countries.

I don't hate English people, but man, are the pundits breathtakingly ignorant of football outside the PL (except for the excellent James Richardson and James Horncastle of course). Also doesn't help that clubs like Liverpool and Man United have insufferable fans.

Its not that were not confident of our team, but we have recurring issues that keeps on haunting us. This creates reasonable doubt.

One of them is our ability to choke or bottle big games, especially finals.

Another one is our overall mentality, the focus on defence and organization has always been part of our DNA, but also seem to keep us from truly obtaining European sucess.

As you said, we may be a critical bunch, but its well reasoned.

3-5-2/3-3-4 with the ball & 4-4-2 without.

Exactly. Juve will have 6 CBs next year. A 3-5-2 with attacking wingers/wingbacks also places Dybala at the center of attack. Costa, Berna, Sandro, Spina, Cuadrado out wide.

In fact Allegri's 352 very often has been a 442 when defending, not a 532 like under Conte.

And whilst i don't want it to be our main formation again (which it won't be) it's good to have that option up our sleeves. In the end the 352 is highly dependable of the WB's, and of course you won't go all the way with Licht+Asa as your wingbacks, but Alex Sandro and Cuads can be ace in that formation.
