Complaining that luck finally went our way in CL

Anyways, I don't care who we get. I feel we can beat anyone. I mean, we're playing like shit and still top of our group and Serie A with no identity yet in our play. Imagine when our squad is healthy and starts having a bit of chemistry. Plus maybe adding Witsel in January. I've got a good feeling about this season. Even if it has been frustating to watch so far.

I think everyone know we did Sevilla a favor. Now they can lose to Lyon, go to EL and do what they're best at.

Oh, and that Sampaoli face after Bonbon's goal  epic

Pareja says clattenburg "channeled" the game in our favor..red was harsh..penalty was a non penalty..
Yet at the gentlest tug on thier tampon strings they will bitch and ask for calls..feels good only thing that would top this is if they were Bayern.

Its a bit weird isn't it ?! I got the same feeling. The quality of the football being played by our players have been extremely underwhelming to say the very least, but somehow we keep on grinding out results (not only in "easy" Serie A). If we eventually manage to get the midfield ticking , we might start to actually evolve into a dangerous side, both Defensively and Offensively speaking.

They never learn, do they?
This was particularly pathetic.

First place in the league by 7 points, first place in our CL group with an easy home game left, and already qualified for knockouts.

You'd think from the last few weeks on Tuz we were Manchester United. In 6th place in the league, and 3rd place in a Europa league group.

You're annoyed, just like Allegri is. The results simply don't leave space for critic.

But the average Juve fan wants one thing, which 2 years ago seemed like a logical next step for Juve: to be considered a CL favorite, just like Real, Barca and Bayern are favorites every year. Of course, the ultimate prize will be the CL trophy, but that will come eventually if Juve are so strong to always be one of the top 3 favorites.

What makes the fans so disappointed and even angry, is the fact that this Juve does not give an impression of a team that is gonna achieve what fans expected to happen after that CL final. And this is the reason for the critics.

You'll be right to say that it's too early and patience is needed. After all, the results are there. But as much as the critics are undeserved due to the results, they are very rational from a Juve fan's point of view. It's the fear of failure and unfulfilled expectations.

Spot on. But I wouldn't blame Allegri for it. We just don't have the players to make a proper midfield

The point is that most of the nonsense lately on this forum, calling for Allegri to be fired, calling our performances disgraceful, calling our mentality disastrous and pathetic, our players utter shit.... this is beyond the pale. It's absurd and farcical.

After each win in the league against minnows, it's all about how we'll eventually lose if we keep up such "shitty" performances, and that we can't hope to succeed against better teams playing like this. First we going to lose to Napoli because our performances our so bad, when we won, it was "undeserved" and a "terrible" performance. Then it was how we didn't have a hope in hell against Sevilla because we are playing so poorly. And now that we beat them 3-1 it was another "disastrous" performance where we apparently fluked the win because the ref was biased for us.

No one stops to think that maybe we play a style that works, which frustrates our opponents endlessly. Sevilla had 1 good chance on our goal in 180 minutes. From a corner. They scored it. All the same, 1 single chance in 180 minutes. We play in a way that gives very little in the way of chances to our opponents, while always creating a number of chances ourselves, even though this number is too few to make us an "entertaining" and "attacking" spectacle, and to allow us fans to sit comfortably through games. It's often frustrating to watch, as many of our spectacular players seem quite neutered at times with how we play.... but all the same, it is highly effective in the vast majority of games.

We've also seen against both Real Madrid and Bayern Munich the last couple years (to a lesser extent ManCity), that when we are faced with top sides and can't afford to play such a style, Allegri modifies his tactics, in general, very successfully. We haven't seen it this year, because we haven't really needed it. Instead, we've choked the life out of our opponents all season long, while creating just enough in attack to win. It's frustrating and doesn't look pretty. But it's certainly good enough to beat anyone but Real, Barca, Bayern, Atletico. Against them, I highly doubt we'd see this same sort of play.

I think some of the concerns are fair. Khedira and Pjanic have been poor for a while now and considering our usual transfer policy we aren't likely to sign anyone better during the winter. It's concerning, as we have such high ambitions, yet they are likely to be starters for the season.

Of course the panic mode atmosphere that's been around here at times is ridiculous and the few members still bitching about how we lost to such a shitty Inter (Despite our league position) like it matters in the long run :howler:

Exactly, it's very easy to see why any Juve fan should be worried and very much concerned considering our expectations and our current performance is far far cry from showing any signs of fulfilling it. We set a standard two years ago, and in actual quality performance and showing any semblance of taking strides to improve or even maintain previous strength in key qualities, namely the midfield, has been almost evaporated before our eyes.

The results are fine, but our goal of becoming the best in Europe has not been on course based on what we are seeing. Any half motivated decent side seem to shut down our sorry midfield. Time to figure things out is needed, but by how much? It doesn't make Khedira and Pjanic any less of mismatch and our engine in center completely void compared to before. Need to figure it out quick because it's couple months til knock out stage, no alibis when that gets here. Need to shape our approach to impose our game on opponents, against the best teams grinding out results won't work like we been doing.

Even if Allegri deserves some critique I feel for him, he didn't ask for his best dynamic midfielders to be sold and be handed replacements that make it very hard to play things way he likes. We become crossing merchants relying entirely on wingbacks when Dybala is out.

I get frustrated watching us play too. All the time. We play a very frustrating style. And then you add to that our most talented and creative attacker in Dybala going down for 6-8 weeks, while Pjaca is also injured, and it gets even more frustrating to watch. Add in Higuain missing today...

I understand that we play a style that isn't pretty, and can be frustrating to watch, and that people would prefer us to play a more attractive football, but at some point you just have to accept that this is our style, this is how we play, and learn to enjoy it because it brings us damn good results.

I'm a fan of both Pjanic and Khedira, however, I do not think they are a good combination in a 3 man mid, with Cheesio, who is also not an overly physical player. 3 very smart players, but there just isn't enough juice in that mid against big teams. I'd much prefer seeing Khedira and Pjanic rotated more often, with a 4th mid, who I had hoped would be Lemina, (though he seems to have disappeared since his double yellow against Lyon), but someone with characteristics like Vidal or Naingollan, or any other aggressive, ball-winning B2B. I think both Pjanic and Khedira would play much better with such a player opposite them in the mid. Doesn't mean we should get rid of them, having 4-5 top CMs should be a priority for rotation, but they shouldn't play together so often, against teams where a midfield battler is needed.

Was sad not to see Nanes. Id of took off Khedira who was doing nothing or put him on instead of Stuaro and played him closer to goal.
