Ya, true. DP disappeared, but I think only because he felt frustrated. There is clearly an issue of DP/Ibra working well together. They dont seem to have the chemistry of either striker pairs out there, say a Ronaldo/Raul, etc.
After Nedved was pulled, I think Ibra saw it as his chance to become the superstar for Juve, especially with the legend Zizou on the pitch watching his every move, and he tried to simply imitate.
For imitation is the greatest form of flattery.
Zalayeta for DP was a good sub in the 80th, and I strongly support Capello in making it and would have done the same. All I am saying is that, as much as DP was not visible or "sucked" in the 2nd half, his performances cant be overshadowed by Ibra, since he was equally if not slightly less OFF for the night.
Even on the goal line, when he was trying to shield off Roberto Carlos, and he just ripped through him, and stripped him of the ball. What is that???? All he does is use his brute strength to shield off defenders, but not much else happens.
Sure he could have scored, on that one shot drilled right at Casillas, and if he did, he would have been a hero, but I am just once again saying, his antics in the last 5 min, the outrageous passes, upset me greatly. Maybe Im just too upset by that one incident, but its the truth, without Nedved, the attack is useless. Camo was all I saw tonight.
Ruben Olivera is too naive/lacks experience to play effectively with a squad like RM. He seemed really scared, as did Blasi at times, with the numerous fouls he commited. We are lucky no one got the red, as 5 yellows were handed out to Juve players.
Oh well, this is way too long.
I know we can win it at Delle Alpi, the question is just, by how much, since those away goals are going to be killer, shall they score.
Cheers
