Playing Llorente will be very important. We won't be able to build our own offence so any flick from tall Llorente could lead to disturbance in Real's defence and a chance for us.

And I still think Asamoah would have been good to have in a game like this.

Make or break for this formation I guess. A good result and impressive display could lead Conte to continue with the 4-3-3, or 4-3-1-2 if that is what it ends up looking like on the pitch.

Be interesting to see who is tasked with going wide in that system when defending.

Will it be 4-3-3 i.e. 4-5-1 with Tevez and Marchisio going wide?

Or will it be more of a 4-3-2-1 with Tevez and Marchsio dropping back more centrally and leaving Pogba and Vidal to go wide and support the full backs?

If anything, if Conte is going to use those players as I think he will, this could be even more defensive than what we usually use.

The plus side is that I'd expect Real Madrid to give us a bit more room to play than the average Serie A team, they aren't terrified of us or erecting a fence in front of their penalty area. It's this self-assuredness that has allowed us to compete with them in the past, they just go out to win the game regardless.

Stopping them scoring is another matter :shifty:

just saying. if it's a 4-3-2-1 i understand but marchisio as a forward?
Assuming this was the real line up, I believe Marchisio would play slightly behind Fernando and Carlitos. Of course Marchisio used to be an attacker, so why not. Marchisio making more runs forward is essential to this Juventus, no matter which formation. He should shoot more often in my opinion.

Well you bunch of cry babies. You got your 4-3-3 tonight. Let's all hope for the best. I wanna see us attacking sensibly. Unsure of claudio in the trequartista role. But hey-ho!!

I'm inclined to think it will be a 4-5-1 type formation. Well, I hope it is.

Vucinic would have suited that Marchisio role.
