Of course, away to Real Madrid in a vital CL clash is the perfect opportunity to try something new.
If we stick to what we have now this will be the only 'vital' CL match we're gonna have this season. I see it this way.

Throwing Caceres might not be the best idea I agree but I'm sick of Isla and Padoin. Padoin isn't that bad but can he play RB? Me feeling is that we need Caceres now because Licht is out. play him for 60 minutes or only 45 but I still trust him more than Isla and Padoin both combined. At least he's got some international/La Liga experience.

The 352 in reality would be this:

BUffon

Pogba----Barzagli----Bonucci----Chiellini----Asamoah

-----------Vidal--------Pirlo--------Marchisio--------
-----------------------Tevez------------------------
----------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------
-----------------------Llorente----------------------

We will be pressed to defend very deep against Real and punt long balls to Llorente. That will be the game plan in the end.

And this is why it's bollocks to use this formation and players. If we back off too much (which we always do even vs smaller teams) it will be Bayern all over again. They will close us down and eventually score with time while we won't be able to do anything as we're not suited to counter attacking style. It'll be basically 532 or even 541 which is ultra defensive and our attack having only Tevez/Llorente will be non existent which will make them worry little about defending. 2 CBs will handle a lone forward easily.

best avatar ever btw, @Gep

I too love it :D

I would want to put Caceres on the right too. But seeing as he's not played any part this season, it'll be a risk to put him up against Real. Who knows. Obviously not Conte ;)

I love Pirlo, but i think you guys should start with Pogba, Vidal and Marchisio.

Bring Pirlo on in the second half, where the opposing players will be more tired, and he will be afforded more space to wave his magic wand.

    :D

We will know soon enough. If we reactblike we did after the inter defeat last season we will manage with no problems.
Last year when we bounced back after the Inter game we still had our base play, this year we have been shallow and the individual mistakes being done are spreading like a virus to a whole team level.
