If we really want the 3-6-1 then Pogba is better up front because of aerial ability. And the fact that he's tall enough to intercept one of our crosses meant for the parking lot and put it into the net.

In theory that looks defensively excellent with plenty of energy to press all over the pitch

In reality we'll be stringing a few passes together every 10 minutes and watching Madrid ghost through us due to our awful pressing. Unless the players now have something to prove. Which they should do. Better get fired up for this. And no suicide passing from the back if we can help it. Pains me to watch us take crazy risks just to keep the ball in our own box.

If we hold on for a draw in this game it'll be a miracle.

Right now I see these guys easily accounting for our mentally fragile and arrogant, they'll easily put at least 3 goals past us if we turn up to the game with the same fucked up mentality we've shown in the CL so far.

On a serious note, if we play bad against real, i'm actually getting nervous about the entire season

i'm convinced we'll do well, so dont have to worry 'bout that

From what ive seen and with the inclusion of Varane now i think it will look something like

----------------Diego Lopez
---Arbeloa----Pepe---Varane--Marcelo
-----------Khedira-----Illarramendi
------Bale----------Isco--------Ronaldo
------------------Benzema

It will look something like this. Benzema will drop deeper and allow bale and ronaldo to go forward as cfs and isco will sometimes drop deeper
Yes but I think di maria will start ahead of bale because madrid wants to rest bale for the clasico on the weekend and he's still not fully fit. If di maria plays, he will help with madrid's defence as always and track back to help out arbeloa, did you see their formation against Galatasaray? It was like di maria was playing as a deeper right midfielder behind ronaldo and isco in a formation that looks like this
-------------------Casillas------------
Carvajal-----Ramos----Pepe---Marcelo
Di Maria-----Modric----Khedira-------
---------------------Isco--------Ronaldo
------------------Benzema-------------
As for how they play, Ancelotti has stated that he intends to make Madrid play possession attacking football and says that they won't base their tactics entirely on counter-attacking as Mourinho did. I have also noted that they play much less long balls and tend to pass shorter looking for openings and crosses.
As for team selection, Ancelotti said that Lopez will be his league keeper and Casillas will be his CL keeper so obviously he'll play Casillas against us
