"Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos will face no further Champions League punishment following Wednesday night’s victory over Juventus.

The Madrid captain – who was suspended for the tie for an accumulation of bookings – was present in the tunnel and club dressing room, allegedly breaking UEFA rules.

However, Cope report on Friday that the Spain international will not be sanctioned further and will be free to play in Madrid’s semi-finals.

There had been suggestions that the 32-year-old would be banned for one or two further matches due to breaching the terms of his suspension but this now no longer appears to be the case."

I suppose thats how other Italian teams feel about us in the league.

We cant win CL if we continue scrutinizing ref decisions. This is not how a big club should act.

What these protests would help though is introduce VAR in CL and limit the amount of contentious decisions.

Will be interesting to see how Bayern will approach both games. I doubt the ref is going to favour Real again. Surely it will be in the back of his mind with every call.

Real Madrid find technicality to avoid Sergio Ramos Champions League semi-final ban

...But multiple reports in Spain are confirming that UEFA will not open disciplinary proceedings against Ramos, with Real having argued against the wording of the rule. UEFA’s exact phrasing is that suspended players are not allowed to be at ‘pitch level’, and Real insisted that Ramos was perched on the steps leading to the pitch without ever actually reaching pitch level.

Michael Oliver – who awarded the controversial penalty that sent Real Madrid through and gave Gianluigi Buffon a red card – had to submit his referee’s report by Thursday evening. Having done so, Ramos is deemed to have no case to answer, with Spanish radio station Cope saying UEFA felt the 32-year-old ‘did not jump on the field and behaved correctly in the area he was in’. Real have been drawn against Bayern, with the first leg played at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday, April 24, while Liverpool will take on Roma in the other semi-final.

 @ people comparing ref mistakes in league games vs European play-offs.
You have 38 games in one, in the other if you're fucked like we were we have to wait another year ,by which time we will cool-off all the fire built up from this injustice.

UEFA should've implemented VAR before the leagues ffs.

  and people think UEFA acts in good faith. This is insane.

Even with the eyes of the footballing world upon this game due to the controversy they straight up don't care/ won't stop helping Real. Of course giving Buffon a ban in the CL isn't enough considering they know he is likely to retire so they are going to go after him in Serie A now. 0 fucks given. heartless.
