You do know that they were their doubles, right?

Vienna-Juventus Fans Seeing Double

Juventus has joined the long list of the rich and famous by employing an entire squad of doubles.
"We had to do this," said Moggi in a rare candid interview. "The number of threats to the team has, sadly, continued to rise. Something had to be done. Although the costs of running a duplicate team are quite high, we feel that the life and safety of our players come first. After today's successful try out (the "duplicates" interacted with fans, even signing autographs in some cases for unknowing fans who thought they were getting the real team), we feel much more confident about traveling", he added.

GUYS, TODAY WAS ONE OF THE BEST IN MY LIFE!

Guess, who I met in the beautiful city called Vienna? You are right, the whole Juventus team and its staff. And right now, I am wearing my Zlatan shirt with the signatures of Balzaretti, Chiellini, Chimenti, Buffon, Trezeguet, Kovac, Del Piero, Camoranesi, Cannavaro, Ibrahimovic, Zalayeta and Giannichedda on it. Nedved signed a poster.

Two friends of mine and me, wanted to catch them at the airport, but they somehow escaped through the VIP exit, so we couldn't meet them, but we didn't give up and tried to find their hotel. So we drove straight to one of the best hotels in Vienna and asked the receptionist if Juventus is staying here, but she said no. I was really down, and thought I wouldn't catch them, but suddenly, like a Angel from heaven, we met a reporter again, who was already with us on the airport. He told us the right hotel, and we were off, to find the team. When we finally found the hotel, an official told us, that they were sleeping now, and that we could catch them at 5 o'clock to get some signatures. So we went for a beer and at 5 o'clock we finally met them. I tell you, this was so great. The first one was Chimenti, who was surprised that an Austrian knows his real name, and than it was really strange to stand in front of Gigi Buffon, and ask him for a signature. Damn, he was really standing in front of me. I cought nearly everybody, beside Zambro, Thuram (they went to the bus while I got a signature from Trezeguet), Vieira, who seemed to be busy or is simply an idiot and didn't want to sign my shirt and Mutu. He was simply too quick for me. And than, Zlatan came out of the hotel and I asked him to sign in the number of my jersey. He did it, and I asked him to do the Flip-Flap vs. Rapid. He smilled and went to the bus. He somwhow came out again (he was the only one to do so) to talk with sombody and sign more stuff. No joke and I am really honest (not because I really like Zlatan): He was really the kindest. Del Piero was also very nice, just like Balazaretti. I am sorry, but I only got that story on videotape, so it will take some days, till I can show it to you. I guess Santa has to buy me a Digi-Cam :D
:touched:

You're so lucky. Ive tried searching for the right hotels for every celebrity I like and never succeed :D
Believe me, it wasn't easy and we were also nearly the only fans there. Without that reporter, who we met on the airport and than again in front of another hotel, we would have never got them. But now, it feels even better!

Few Changes For Juve
12/7/2005 7:27:00 AM
Despite the Bianconeri having already achieved qualification for the next round of the Champions League, Fabio Capello will still play with his best eleven to try and win the group.
Juventus’ main aim on Wednesday night is that of reaching the top spot in Group A. To do so, the Old Lady will have to score as many goals as possible against Rapid Vienna, and hope that Bayern score two or less goals against Club Brugge.

For this reason, Capello has opted to field a strong team against the Austrian champions.

“There won’t be a lot of turnover, but I will change something. I will make some change, but it will still be a formation of great level.”

It's really sad I won't be able to see the game on tv.

I have a good feeling that we will be putting on quite a show tonight because we will be trying to score as much goals as possible in order to overtake Bayern in goal difference.

Not unless you guys know any streams?

Capello: “We’ll have a top level line-up”

As in his tradition, Fabio Capello is not giving out the line-up he has chosen to play against Rapid Vienna but he anticipated something: “We won’t make much use of turnover but I’ll do change something. After two matches, it is necessary to field fresh players on slow playgrounds. I’ll make some substitutions but we’ll still have a top level line-up”. About their opponents: “At home – he explained – they caused problems to anyone, to Club Brugge and Bayern. When they play at home they change completely, they get very dangerous, with fast and good players”.

He was asked if the weather conditions (pouring rain) can cause the game any trouble. And he answered: “No, the field is fast, it will be alright”. And, following this question, he recalls a precedent that dates back to when he was a Juventus player and that time the conditions were quite particular: “It was the Uefa Cup 1971-1972, we won thanks to a goal scored by Bettega in front of 274 spectators, 250 of whom had arrived from Italy. It had snowed all night long and while we were coming out to play the snow were still being shovelled off the field”.
