I already explained my reasoning, it's not my fault that you dont want to read. And besides, Camoranesi is a great playmaker, he showed that against Real Madrid.

I hope we can turn this tie around in Turin like we did with Real....it will be easier this time with the away goal...

Sad to see DP's goal disallowed...

To tell ya the truth I won't go pages back to read an explanation for putting Appiah in 3 men deffence :lazy:

I cann't believe that some Juve fan still insist on playing Neddy on the left flanks seeing how much this limit his abilities...

Give Neddy the free role, play Camo on the right, let the vertran Pessotto give his best on the left side, as obvious as hell no need to change everything around to prove intelligent....

why not play the didgy monty in the three man defence and play rambo on the left?? twould work imo....withougt needing to fit him in the defece..he is our best left sided player.

Agree neddy was pretty poo at playing left wng, often ending up in the middle.

Because we'd have three slow ass centre backs then, and thats what Liverpool would use.

And playing Appiah in the Quarter final of the CL like a CB for the first time of his life after a long spell of warming the bench is the solution??? extremely smart ....

No, Zambrotta on the right, Nedved on the left.

Perhaps. Things can always go both ways, and afterwards, after taking such a decision you're either a genious or an idiot, only time can tell. But you have to have faith in yourself and your players, and take a risk once in a while.

The injury Zebina suffered, is it serious???
We have to wait for test results to find out the extent of the injury but he'll definitely miss the return leg.

Take it easy, Camoranesi is having a good season but he don't fit to play the free role, we should stop this sort of clever inventions and play Neddy where he belongs....

With Tacchinardi suspended and Blasi being a moron, does this mean we are going to see Appiah (considering Capello's stubborness with the 2 poles)

I want to see Pessotto.. When Blasi was suspended during the second Real match we saw Pessotto ahead of Tacchi not to mention Appiah.

Yes Stuart, but Appiah and Thuram wouldnt be alone, Cannavaro would be there too. Also, in defence Zambrotta would track back a bit to ceover the right, and Nedved a bit to cover the left, but the whole point of this tactic is to attack, not defend. Most of theri counter attacks are started by Gerrard's through passes which skip midfield, so IMO it's not that important for Nedved to do a lot of defending.
In Appiah we have a player who has struggled all season in his favoured role, how do you think he'll do at a foreign position such as left centre back? He may be quicker than Montero, Thuram, Ferrara, Birindelli and Pessotto but he's error prone and tends to cough up possession quite easily.

Obviously this formation is designed for us to attack but why you would take such risks in a game of this magnitude is incomprehendable to me. I might consider playing a team like that if we needed to win by three goals but a 1-0 win would be sufficient. Your formation is an open invitation for Liverpool to score an away goal and we don't need that. I'm confident that a 4-3-1-2 with Nedved in the hole behind the strikers or a 4-3-3 could get us the necessary result. Playing a 3-4-1-2 with Appiah in defence, Olivera in central midfield and Nedved in a role where he has a fair amount of defending to do is risky in your opinion, as far as I'm concerned it's folly.

Anyways, I know this will never happen, it's just something I would do. ;)
Thank God it's something you would do as opposed to something Capello would do. Honestly Zlatan, I don't think we'd do anything but lose with that formation.

No, we'd win. That formation is obviously designed to attack for the full 90 minutes, and if we used it we'd either win 4-0 or lose on counters.

I agree that it might be just a tad too drastic tho.

It is too drastic, Zee. If we needed to win 4-0 then by all means I'd give it a try, but given the situation playing such a system is unnecessary and overly risky.
