The subs wasn't bad, but if it was up to me, i'd take Neddy out and Replace him with either Zala or Trezeguet and Put back Dp where nedved was.
Neddy said that he is thinking about early retirement due to increased inj frequencies and Cap was unhappy with that and he said that neddy is missing the field that’s all and that’s why IMO he didn’t want to replace him although I think neddy wasn’t bad for a player who was away for more than 3 months (excluding the 30min against real)

I was very disappointed to see the 4-4-2 formation last night, it does nothing for us and it hasn't worked for a long time. Just because Nedved is back doesn't mean it's a good idea to change the whole team, I'd sooner play him as a 3rd forward (although it was clear last night that he's not in form) than change the tactics. We've had some good results with 4-3-3 and it's pointless to change just like that.

I see you guys are keen to blame the strikers but they were very isolated last night. Zlatan got the double team everytime while in possession, Del Piero struggled to find space and that's all because there was poor service. Camoranesi did not succeed much, Nedved was unproductive and Blasi/Emerson pose no threat at all. So when that's the case, individual skill comes in handy but it's not enough. Liverpool have a very good defensive record in the CL and we should have done our homework. In the first half, Zlatan and Del Piero both could have scored but that was it, it's not like they wasted lots of chances. The Trezeguet substitution was a curious one, I didn't think Del Piero deserved to come off but it turned out good in the end. I don't remember Trez ever touching the ball btw, that's how many accurate passes he got.

Some notes after seeing the game.

*Byebye Blasi.

*First time Emerson made a really bad match under his Juve-era.

*Buffon's mistake on the second goal.

*Del Piero looked extremely weak. "BUT HE IS SOON BACK !!!!!!!" "FORZA DP!! PENALTY KICK GOAL VS ATALANTA - THE KING IS BACK!!!" Ye... right.

*The Pool defenders looked a little shaky when Zlatan had the ball close to his feat. Wonder why.:cheesy: Too bad he didn't give them much reason to be shaky tonight.

*Thuram was the Man of the Match. Including both sides.

*We need a playmaker.

*G'night.
Blasi didnt play well last night but he is not bad as a SUB

about buffon i dont think the 2nd goal was his fault bcuz it was really nonstopable one

DP was good in the first half, at least better than Trez who didnt even touch the ball

Thuram was the man of the match? will i think cannavaro is the man as well

IMO best players:
thuram
Canna
Zamb
Pessotto
camo

good:
Buffon
DP
zlatan
neddy

bad:
zebina
emerson
blasi

stop complaining, we have the upperhand here. We are kings of winning with 1-0 at home
Well maybe some of us are disappointed and just a little bit ashamed to be beaten by Liverpool, who are by no means favorites, playing at half strength due to injuries, conceding 2 goals in 25 minutes, the grand total of goals we've let in over the past 8 full matches! And while they played well for the first half hour, at least we should have been able to dominate the rest of the match, which didn't happen and at least get a draw, which again didn't happen. Losing to a strong opponent doesn't bother me but in this case we should have done so much better!

Had we played with the same concentration we had vs Real Madrid in the return leg, we probably would have won, which should have happened.

well as i reside liverpool and know a lot of reds fans, the first half was an embaresment.

Blasi......awfull, truely pants....even the aging full back pessotto could do a better job in CM. The cleary slightly injured emo did better.

Neddy: Ran around like a headless chicken, and left the entire left side for rambo.

Zebina: Truely shite marking on hypia for the goal, birinelli would have marked hypia better. Also does not kno how to pass.

Camo and nedd tried too much in midfield and often completley misread the game.

DP....i actually thought he was the best attacking player, a few shoddy touches, but showed more edge than Z.

Z, played well with little or no service, i wish he was more incisive.

Trez.....who?? Did he even get a touch....waste of space.

Canna: Imo played topclass, impecable defending, even had a mamouth leap for the goal.

Rambo Thuram...both played ok, excelling in areas lacking in others.

Gigi....i feel sorry for this guy, totally hung out to dry by zebina and a wondergoal by Garcia....he will need to be on top form next game.

For the next match: Drop Blasi......why did we send enzo on loan for this goomba ??

besides poor marking for a corner and a wonder strike from garcia liverpool created no other chances, this was possiblly the worst juve could have played yet, ibra hit the post del piero scored a nice header which was wrongly disallowed and missed a great chance one on one also i though he was pushed in the back in the box in the second half.

so all and all i think capello will learn from the mistake, juve will not be as poor again and liverpool will not play as good again, if we can beat real at home we can beat liverpool

also losing this match is a good wake up call for players and i dont see us sliping up against fiorentina.

also our midfield of emerson who must have been carryiny a knock and blasi were extremley poor yet gerard or biscan did nothing special either. we will qualify in turin

ohhhh come on guys wat r u saying nothing makes sense anymore , i have a very different point of view. extremely different.
First of all we played one bad half and another good 2nd half. They were tired cuz they couldnt keep up their pace in the 2nd half , and should 've hit the target for the 2nd time but no luck. If either alex's goal was in or zlatan post shot was in, from the 1st half there would be a different story.I assure u juve would've got the better of liverpool with at least a two goal advantage.
Now to the actual players and the coach :

Gigi...... wasnt in the top of his game but he didnt make any fatal mistakes like carson did.Even Garcia's goal he did the right thing coming off his line, the defense was wide open and he had to be a few steps ahead. But overall i was satisfied, although i expect much more frrom super gigi.

zebina.....worst player on the field, easily past, bad marking ,bad defending, bad passing, bad crossing, even bad dribbling. He will have to give a better game next time or we will be in trouble.

cana.....man of the match from both sides, excellent everything, he proved he is from the top defenders in the world in this game.Nobody got past .Fantastic game.

thuram.....very bad first half mybe worst in the whole season for him, he didnt do anything right he was a hole in the defense. But in the 2nd half he did well especially in the air and made a few runs that were good, but overall not the best of his games.

zambro... zambro had a great game offensively but defensively he wasnt that great. But overall he had a great game , made finnan lose his mind overthere.

emo-blasi....well i think they didnt do well in the game, cuz of the way capello made his tactics. He tried to play a fast game like liverpool , but both players r not that fast in midfield and that was a great disadvantage for both of them. if we had played our game they would've played much better.Am not giving any excuses for them, they should've played a better game especially emo who played the 90 mins and did nothing.
To the ppl who r saying blasi should go, i say u dont know nothing about the player or football. He is a great asses to this team, he plays great matches in serie A and in CL.2nd leg against madrid he dismantled many players in midfield.

camo....bad first half and a slightly better 2nd half, but overall i wasnt satisfied with his performance. although he had some shining moments.

neddy.....somebody said he was like a lost chicken or something like that.he was exactly that and he needs match practice badly he didnt move that much in the game and many of his shots/passes were bad(only that through pass to alex was a beauty), he didnt get into the game untill like the 60th min or 55th and towards the end of the game he was sleeping again..he needs match practice very badly and i think in the 2nd leg he will do a better job.

alex....he had an OK game not soo bad not soo good, the only thing i will give is that he moved very well around the field and actually tried something ,also his positioning was pperfect.its a pitty he got that goal of his dissallowed, and i was soo pissed when he missed that one-one with carson, he had soo many options and he puts it near his hand. but i think he didnt have the worst of games.

zlatan...well this guy had alot of marking when we tried build up play and thats okk he couldnt do anything then, but also when got liverpool on the counter he delayed the ball very much when he could've easily passed it.He tends to complicate things when they r soo simple.for me he was okk noot soo bad not soo good, but alex was better.

pessoto...i was surprised when he went in blasi's place in CM , he played very well i think.disposed many ball and his passing was great. i think he was great. Good on you Pessoto :)

trezi...he was just a shadow in the field, only making fouls thats it , very bad game for him.But again he is not 100% so i dont blame him am sure he tried his best.

montero...no mistakes and good long balls , thats a great game in his standards.

capello....from the first 5mins of the game i sinced that capello had different tactics, he wanted to play the fast game that the english have, its very hard to play that game.it opened up our defense very badly and took alot from the team.In the 2nd half i will give him a bow for the pessoto sub. that was great.overall he controlled the match very well, and had very good 2nd half tactics although his first half tactics were all wrong.

referees....the field ref. has no personality and he was always scared, very bad ref, wat were uefa thinking by putting this asswipe as a ref in the quarter final of CL.
and the linesman was worst, the disallowed goal was a huge thing , but there was also once when there was a corner for juve and he pointed for the goal kick then he pointed for the corner back again.

I truely felt that Juve should hav won the match 3-2 or at least drew it...Liverpool was superb in first half and was nothing close to Juve in 2nd..
to sub DP for an unfit Trez is a gamble and Capello surely failed this time...IMO DP was the best attacker in the first 60 min for Juve...Z can;t do simple things right, as for Trez..u know he can;t create, Nedved was not there yet...so, who can we rely to score after DP got subbed?
All eyes on Turin now..to turn the tide....i hope we dun lose to Liverpool..and Liverpool dun win the CL..it would be a joke in CL history where a team who is 30 points behind Chelsea in the premiership won the CL!! oh...~~ NEVER!

I think Asian Juventinis must totally agree with me that ESPN got two very very biased commentators...esp the main commentator...this guy acts as if Gerard was his boyfriend...:"Oh what a pass from Gerard..." came out at least 10 times but he commented that before he even saw where the ball was goin to drop!! this guy is like a prophet...as if he knows where the ball is goin to drop or what..and if Gerard didn;t provide a good pass, he just said:"it was not a right one.." instead of :"that was awful.." he used the word :"Awful" on DP on a few occasions..in my mind, DP is no less and no greater than Gerard yesterday night...Gerard was OK but not that GREAT alright...
and Garcia shot..he mentioned:" what a shot!!!" when the ball was started leaving Garcia's foot...
Damn ESPN....!! damn so called:"espn- england homeground" not every asian is a EPL lover!! I hope ESPN asia realise this...and if u insist broadcasting EPL teams, grab commentators that r less bias...not bias until the extreme that i am totally sick and wanna vomit ....

The commentator on TV3 said in conclusion that Liverpool's best player for the night was Gerrard. And that amazed me because I didn't even notice he was playing.

True, but remember that both Trezeguet and Zalayeta felt injuries before the match so we were forced to play with 4-4-2.

And concerning the return game, we ALWAYS score at home. one or two goals, that is up to the players. I believe we'll win with 3-1 at Delle Alpi, with Zalayeta, Ibrahimovic and Del Piero at top.
